Just as druid has shown us in the past, when you can start getting multiple win conditions in the same archtype and class, it's because said class may be a bit overtune in general.
Who could have thought giving insane value card and draws to a class with best turtling (armor gain and board clear) could make game unfunny?
@@SanityDrop Every time they give Control Warrior infinite/near infinite value the meta turns to shit (Dead Man's Hand or Dr. Boom Mad Genius etc...). They still haven't learnt, Control Warrior is good because it's the best Control archetype at dealing with aggro, because it has the most efficient removals, this is why compared to the other control archetypes (Shaman, Priest, Warlock etc...) it's not supposed to have infinite value and has to squeeze the most value out of a select number of minions (like the OG Wallet warrior).

I was running clown in my reno warrior the first week or two of the expansion. The number of times it was lethal was INSANE. I think the card is really slept on in this deck.
I've been enjoying Clown in Mage as well. The class has great options at six mana with Chadgar and Norgannon as well as its excavate minion. The rest of the deck is mostly elemental synergy to deal damage directly with minions.

Ben Brode oversaw stupid cards like Yogg and Jade Idol, he also oversaw the massive push towards the discover mechanic turning the game into a clown fiesta. It's fair to say Ben started the rot.

Why did they avoid using the Corrupt keyword?
They GUTTED my tendril deck because it wasn't interactive. Then they leave reno, let locks keep the win condition of "you kill my minions you lose", let miracle excavate rogue, odyn warrior still exist despite them not being interactive at all and having extremely toxic win conditions.
The biggest kick in the nuts being that the tendril cards didn't get dust refunds because they were indirect nerfs. Fuck blizz

After 9 years, I stopped playing Hearthstone at the release of Whizzbang. The expansion theme didn't appeal to me, the balance was steadily getting worse and I didn't like the way the game was trending towards certain play styles.
But I still enjoy watching Chump suffer through it for our entertainment.

For real though, the meta has been pretty fun. Are there clear outliers? Yes. But outside the top tier there's a lot of fun and unique decks that are still viable.

Depends what sub meta you are facing. I am facing exclusively highlander warrior, token hunter, tempo druid and faced 2 token paladins. It is far from fun experience.
"Fun" and "Meta" are 2 different things. Right now, all I see is 3 meta decks fighting in a mud pit. Fun is Always there in HS, but usually it isn't fun if you rarely win with these

It's been apparent for a while that he doesn't like the current state of the game and his upload cadence declining is another proof of that. What was a joke was the idea that he had never been burnt out or that the game state had never been bad during the Ben Brode era of Hearthstone.

Though it does reinforce my idea that current warrior is the most boring class, I played a fun version of the deck and got bored playing it after a day and yet ladder is infested with it
I have to agree I am not enjoying Hearthstone at all at the moment. If you want to get to high ranks you have to play the same decks everyone is playing. and now they are finding ways to even scam those decks to make them worse. what happened to board! love the videos.

I know that was a joke, but I legit think the game is going way better without Ben Brode.
HS is WAY more accesible now that back them, and I can tell cause im playing Free To Play for 10 years.
And then you look at Marvel Snap that had one of the most aggressive monetization systems in any TCG.
So I like the guy, but is undeniable that HS is a lot better now that how it used to be. In a lot of aspects. I liked Adventures but they costed 4 times more than the mini-sets for 1/3 of the amount of cards.

The meta may be polarized and slightly unfun, but there's a reason we're all here. It feels really good to play Hearthstone, and that's something no other CCG has been able to replicate. And no game can ever be perfectly balanced, especially a card game. Often, the thing players enjoy the most is the act of making their opponent as unhappy as possible...
