22 Dex is not necessary, I was using another weapon before I decided to use the claws with lighting infusion, but I thought using a Larval Tear would be a waste since the keen claws do some extra damage and extra casting speed is nice too. If I would be at 15 dex for the claws I would pump the 7 points into vigor and endurance. - Hry

Invade nearby - speicimen storehouse, climb stairs to the 4th floor, jump over railing and walk along the hanging white sculpture, spam ancient dragon strike to the floor below, range is infinite. Heheh 🤭 so much fun!

The hammer the dragon priest give you is great and lowers their lightning damage negation and increases that effect % if the ash is charged
Not sure why it scales with strength/arcane though. It’s a lightning based weapon so you’d expect it to scale with dex/faith
Especially when her heart only boosts lightning incants which all have zero arcane requirement
Potentially a good weapon ruined by scaling that makes no sense

@@abrupt9090 Because Fromsoft has this nasty habit in ER to give every class access to every damage type.
Instead of having elemental damage tied to respective stats, each stat has access to every damage type via spells and weapons like this one.
Much to the detriment of builds that want to use such an archetype, most of em have no synergy with each other,
like ghostflame weapons and death hexes, golden order weapons and fundamentalist incants, blood incant‘s and briar sorceries, lighting weapons and AD-cult incantations, magic-weapons with D scaling in int/fth/arc, magma sorcery leaning toward int.
Or this mace and AD-cult incantations.
Either we waste a f-ton of points to make a build look homogenous or we play at max lvl where stat allocation doesn‘t matter,
I hate it.
@zawarudo8991 While I agree that Fromsoft weapon scaling is definitely a "why are you like this." Meme at times. Alot of times it's so you don't get access to some broken combos at lower levels.

Awesome to see you give this a go. I tried something very similar at 168 and was decimated by the lack of protection, so seeing how you find success with it is amazing!
In some invasions I had a really hard time, but if you take your time there is always a way 🙂 glad you also tried this out!

Could do that in the previous games too but they made the buff last an actual duration time this time. In the previous games it lasted like 5 seconds.

Scales mainly with arc and str so it doesn't have to much room in Dragon Cult builds 🙂

@@rabbitsinthemoon9183finally tried my hand at invading with this build. I'm not very good with it but it's amazing how many people ego challenge fortissax's lightning spears. I'd say the vast majority of my kills are baiting people and casting it right on top of them. It's great against the more noobish ganks
I went with a milady with wingstance as a backup weapon but I might switch it to flame skewer (which ever one has the follow up) for more ease of use

The Flowerstone Gavel weapon art or ash of war reduces lightning defense as well, so you can do more dmg. Also, the Dragonbolt of Florissax increases all your dmg negation, which is awesome.
Yes but Flowerstone Gavel scales with arcane, this is why I don't use it here.

The damage is amazing, unfortunately the DB build up is very low, I never had it triggered once in my life. I tried with lvl 0 seals just to trigger Deathblight, it just never happened, no matter how long they stood in the clouds. Wish they would buff it!
Death knight set&weapons are also good in dragon cult build

I made the same build a few days ago. Put on death lightning thinking I could death blight people stuck in a corner, however from this video and my testing, no one survived the initial strike, why does it do so much damage? Goated build btw ❤
Death Lightning for a reason🙂 I also tried with some lvl 0 seals to force the DB, it just never triggered. Unfortunately...

With fromsoft would had let u use both the rock heart or the priests heart after transforming into 1 of the dragons in general. I love the priest heart transformation more because of fashion but u can only use the priest heart again for the better lightning incantations damage. I don’t see an issue if you would be able use either heart so either glass canon dragon casters or faith users can use whatever they like
Try this build with the communion incants ie dragonsclaw, greyolls roar, etc. Blue dancer talisman buffs it, and the rock form buffs it as well. I’m hitting somewhere around 1,800 on greyolls roar in PvPwhich goes through walls and has a lingering hitbox
I guess by "this build" you mean using the heart cause Dragon Cult is a total different class of spells. I want to use the dragon form with Dragon Communion for sure.
@@rabbitsinthemoon9183 yup, the priestess heart buffs what you're using but the rock heart buffs the incants i listed. I'm planning on trying out the setup you're rocking soon, but the one im using is pretty good as well. your damage might be higher tho

Here is a question so hashing talismans in each hand or staffs which hand are you casting from? And having both seal or staffs is giving you more power right?
I always cast with Left Hand Armament. Using 2 Gravel Stone Seals gives me 2x +15% damage to Dragon Cult Incantations, so yes, more power 🙂 sometimes I use Azur's Glintstone Staff off hand for increased casting speed.
Death Lightning is interesting, hard to land but has the 2nd highest base damage of all spells

I really love your build, but there is no way to make it better with the DLC?, if you use the new Beloved Stardust talisman rather than the Radagon one, and also the bonus damage from the lightning scorpion charm is not interesting ? and the new hammer from the DLC which can really synergize well with this build with his special Draconic Projective skill I don't know if you saw
If you consider taking 45% extra damage (30% stardust 15% scorpion) on an already very vulnerable buiild better? I don't want to be one shotted with stationary spells like Fortissax's spells or ADLS. The new hammer scales mainly with arcane and str, so no, this weapon probably useful with Dragon Communion (I tested it though, you will lack str investment and damage if you go full incant damage).
@@rabbitsinthemoon9183 after several tests in PvP you are totally right, the extra damage is clearly not worth when you get killed so quickly
So is it better to run the death knight set or do this if I want to use lightning spells? Would you say the poise and damage negation tradeoff is worth it?
Haven't tested it yet but I would guess DK set is better!
Death knight set only gives 8% damage boost to Dragoncult incantation
Meanwhile priest heart gives a whooping 20%, with 7 flat defenses ( its better than being actually naked) and light roll is still super good

nothing there indicates a controller? doing a twirl with WASD is something anyone can do lol
@@KevOfPeen Controllers do it much more smoothly. WASD causes sharp turns, so it's a bit more difficult to spin in a fluid manner.

If only we got a good dragon weapon that scaled with faith but yeah the new Dragon Priestess form is fun af still regardless
Arcane dragon communion builds are just as unhappy because the arcane scaling dragon weapon helps the spells that are boosted by a pure faith seal.

Dragon cult sorceries don't scale with arcane though, the hammer doesn't fit the build just helps lower lightning resistance...which seems pointless since he's just one shotting everyone. Looks sick though haha

A big issue with this type of build is the lack of poise. I would rather wear the new death knights armor set to still get a damage bost while having actual defenses and some poise
As I said in the opening message, this got requested and I also was curious. Everything is new, testing is the way 🙂

I've been wanting to do something like this for PvE ever since I killed Bayle. Looks ungodly in PvP so maybe it'll pop off

Why no use lightning scorpion?
Cause you get only get 8% extra damage while taking 15% extra damage. A death wish on such a squishy build.

I guess you mean the dragon breath's etc.? Different school of incantations, this video is about Dragon Cult Incantations which is full of lightning spells.
Why duel wield seals?
double the damage buff obviously. gravel stone seals give 15% buff to dragon cult incatations. 1 seal= 15% dragon cult buff. 2 seals = 32%. 2 seals+priestess heart= 58% buff
