I had the opportunity to spend several hours with Jim Elwood a few years ago touring the airport. As an retired airport bum myself, Jim is a pro's pro. Kudos to the airport leadership, the consulting engineers and the contractors to go above and beyond what is normally required to minimze environmental impacts and be a good airport neighbor, and one inside a national park at that.
