  • Today I went and helped my Dad set up a Seasons Sentry 3.35 m (11 ft.) Round Solar LED Cantilever Umbrella from Costco. It was fairly simple to put together. This umbrella looks great and is well worth the price. I found a hidden suprise inside the solar charger :)
    You may want to get one of these for that suprise I found!

    OMG, I love this umbrella even more after watching your video. We have a patio which gets very hot in the summer here in Washington state. We sometimes do nighttime astronomical observing which limits what we can purchase to shade this patio.
    Thanks for the nice vid and thanks to your dad for helping!

    Hello, my deck is about same size as this video maybe a bit bigger by a few feet (12x15). Did the umbrella tap the walls when it swayed in the wind? Debating whether to go with a 10ft or the 11ft from Costco. Thanks in advance!

    • @MelandTim
      @MelandTim  Před 4 lety +2

      We dont put it that close to the wall. The height of the umbrella is almost as high as our gutters, so we try to keep it away from that whole side of the building. It does move a bit in the wind for sure but not as much as you may think. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching

    Thank you for this video. I have a few questions if you don't mind. We can't figure out how to tilt the canopy. Also even though we used 5 50 lbs bags of sand, there are still hollow spaces when you stand on the base. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

    • @MelandTim
      @MelandTim  Před 2 lety

      the handle on the side when lifted up will tilt it down and moving the handle down will tilt it up. you could add more sand if you think you will need it, but you have 250 lbs holding it down. hope this helps :)

    Question, what did you fill the 4 base pieces with? I used water and then had to suck it out with a shop.vac and small tube. Was awful, seems there are chambers within each plastic box. How did you fill it also? Thanks

    • @MelandTim
      @MelandTim  Před 2 lety +1

    How do you fill up with sand in that little hole? Seems like using water is easier. The one I have used sand bags with huge openings for the sand, easy fill. Should come with provisions for moving the base in case you don't want it permanently located but none of them do.

    • @MelandTim
