    Design:
    The BMW G 310 R features a modern and dynamic design that reflects its sporty nature. It has a naked street-bike style, characterized by its minimalistic and aggressive appearance. The motorcycle has a muscular fuel tank, a sleek LED headlight, and a high-mounted rear section. It also incorporates various aerodynamic elements, such as the sharp lines and contours, to enhance its visual appeal.
    Engine:
    Powering the G 310 R is a 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine is equipped with a fuel injection system and four valves, offering a good balance between power and efficiency. It delivers an output of around 34 horsepower (25 kW) and a torque of approximately 28 Nm. The engine is tilted backward for optimal weight distribution and to lower the motorcycle's center of gravity, contributing to better handling and stability.
    Performance:
    The BMW G 310 R is designed to offer a dynamic riding experience. It has a lightweight chassis, which combines a tubular steel frame with a bolt-on rear frame. This construction provides rigidity while keeping the weight low, resulting in nimble handling and agility. The motorcycle has a low seat height, making it accessible to riders of different sizes and experience levels.
    Features:
    Despite its entry-level positioning, the G 310 R comes with several features that enhance its practicality and safety. It features an LCD instrument cluster that provides all essential information, such as speed, gear position, fuel level, and engine temperature. The motorcycle also incorporates ABS (anti-lock braking system) as a standard safety feature, ensuring better control during braking.
    Riding Experience:
    The G 310 R is designed for urban commuting and sporty riding. Its compact dimensions and agile handling make it well-suited for maneuvering through crowded city streets and tight corners. The comfortable upright riding position allows for good visibility and reduces rider fatigue during longer rides. The motorcycle also offers a smooth and precise transmission, further enhancing the overall riding experience.
    Variants:
    In addition to the standard G 310 R, BMW also introduced a variant called the G 310 GS. The G 310 GS is an adventure-oriented version of the G 310 R, featuring additional off-road capabilities, increased suspension travel, and a more upright riding position. It shares many components with the G 310 R but offers a different riding experience tailored for adventure enthusiasts.
    Overall, the BMW G 310 R is a well-rounded entry-level motorcycle that combines performance, style, and practicality. With its BMW pedigree, it offers a premium experience in the small-displacement segment and serves as an accessible gateway to the world of BMW Motorrad.
    Visit the BWM website for more details on the G 310 R and many others.

I’m super happy with my purchase, yeah it’s a little lacking in power(which is good I suppose since I’m a novice) but it is super fun to ride and looks awesome. • @Trekopolis
      @Trekopolis  Před 10 měsíci +1

      From the 15-20 minutes I was actually on the bike I honestly felt it was comfortable, but I can't really say what the comfort level might be after riding it a few hours. I try not to be bias in my reviews because I don't get sponsored for any of this, I just enjoy riding other bikes and checking them out. That bike was loads of fun right off the bat. Any bike is capable of going for hours, but the comfort factor is often something to understand after you've owned a bike for a while. Like my Honda ADV 150, the seat is similar to a park bench. But, that can be upgraded. So there's pros/cons to any bike, just have to look at the top priorities and what you would enjoy most. My guess is you'll be fine on this bike, but only time will tell. And, everyone is physically different so what might be comfortable to one person may be the total opposite to another person. ;)

    • @Trekopolis

    • @Trekopolis
      @Trekopolis  Před rokem

      I would think so. I'm about 5-8, but didn't feel crapped at all. In fact, my bike, which is a Honda ADV150 has floor boards because it's an automatic so that can be an issue for someone taller. The G310R seemed like it would be more adaptable for longer legs. Best bet is to find one and sit on it. I'm sure the fine folks at BMW would love to help you out. 😎

    Looks like you had a real fun time! The placement of the Honda turn signals messes you up on any other bike! When I get off my Honda moto and hop on my Piaggio scooter, I'm accidentally honking at EVERYONE and have to occasionally look to down to find the turn signal switch! But I actually now prefer Honda's placement of the switches compared to everyone else. So, do we see a motorcycle in your future?

    • @Trekopolis
      @Trekopolis  Před rokem

      Yep, when I rode home from that event I noticed my turn signals on the Honda were reversed, right like I was explaining in the video where my thumb naturally goes, which is at a downward angle. Anyway, not sure of my bike plans in the future. Still enjoy the automatic Honda, but shifting and more power is fun too! Maybe both? 🤔 Can't justify the cost though right now. Maybe if my channel blows up one day I can own more toys! 🤣

    • @Trekopolis
      @Trekopolis  Před rokem

      Depends on many factors, but it's a light and nimble bike and not overly powerful to get a new rider in over their head. I'd say yes, it's a good starter bike, but there's also many other bikes on the market too. Do you want manual speed or automatic? Things to consider as well. New riders should take a rider's course and learn as much as they can which also helps narrow down bike choices. Good luck! ✌️

      @kings8217 Před rokem +1

      I always thought of owning cruisers or sport bikes and when I went to a motorcycle saftey course it show me that it wasn't for me bcs I was not at all comfortable on them. When I sat on a naked bike tho I was very comfortable and I knew it was a type of bike I would buy in the future.
      You should go to a motorcycle safety course and test what type of bikes are suited for you. You might like a naked bike but it might not be a right for you, you might feel uncomfortable on them.
      But other than that, Yeah this bike is confidence inspiring which a lot of beginner bikes lack and you will love it.

    • @Trekopolis
      @Trekopolis  Před rokem

      Reach out to a few dealers and ask what services cost to get an idea. Most dealers charge similar rates for labor. Save money by doing it yourself, but some things are too challenging for most people. If you're somewhat mechanical basic maintenance isn't too difficult on most bikes. Don't let service costs prevent you from enjoying any bike, however. It's part of the experience. Just call around for best deals or learn how to do it yourself. ✌🏻 Good luck!

    Okay so the thing is, I'm thinking about buying a G310R myself. But the main thing that's on my mind, is it small and suitable for a "larger" person or wouldn't it fit? It's a nice and cool bike but it doesn't look so big?

    • @Trekopolis
      @Trekopolis  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I'm about 5'-8" tall, 215 pounds, 30" inseam for reference. It was plenty large enough for me, but to really know and if it's possible, I'd recommend trying it out in person. At least sit on it, see how the controls are and how comfortable your legs are to the shifter, brake, etc. I'd think anyone under 6'-2" would probably be fine. Taller than that and very long legs may feel cramped. So hard to say without trying it out or finding a similar sized bike to sit on. Doesn't matter, just compare similar seat height, bike weight, and style. ✌🏼
