Looking back now, it clears Amir's family didn't like her not because she was "too western" but because she is materialistic, fame-hungry, goes through Amir's money like water and didn't want to settle down in Bolton because it wasn't "glamourous" enough for her. He repeatily cheats yet she wont leave him because she refuses to give up the lifestyle and status attached to being "Mrs Khan".

What do you most like about Amir and she responded with, "Oh, he's rich" immediately realised that, that answer wasn't a good look for her, and she struggled with coming up with an answer that didn't make her sound like a Gold Digger
