Appreciate the videos, I just added 2 of the 5816's window protection to my system. 2 bedroom windows. They both work fine and it sends the alerts through my pulse like all my other zones do. The only thing is on my pulse app and webpage it says unknown device type as opposed to Motion Sensor, Door/Window Sensor, or Glass Break Detector. What I named them shows up ie, Master Bed Window, but the device type says unknown. Do you know how I can get the device type updated? also Do you have a video on how to add a wireless outdoor siren? Been wanting to do that but can't find a video.

We don't have any programming videos yet for the Vista polling loop panels, but here's an FAQ that gives a quick run-down on programming a 4193SN into one of these panels. The biggest difference in programming one of these devices, vs. a wireless device is the input type. Can you tell me how to remove a hardwired motion detector from a Vista 20p? I think I know how to delete the zone in programming. But, after that, I don't know what I need to do to physically remove it. Can I just remove the sensor and leave the wires there in the wall (and connected to the box)? Does deleting the zone in programming cause power to stop going to it? Thanks

My Vista have Batt lit, also we bypass a few sensors, but it won't give us 'ready'. Do we need to replace a battery on the Vista or it is already powered by our home wire? Also overtime, I think so our sensors might go bad even after replacing them with batteries so we have to bypass 3 of them.

How do you get the cursor to move from the loop number on the right of the screen to the position for entry of the first number of the new serial number. ie. how do you move the cursor left ? Can you program a new wireless door sensor to the Vista 15P without having to use an alpha keypad connected? I have a wireless sensor that has gone bad and would like to replace and program it myself.
Hi Dee! You need an Alphanumeric Keypad (like a 6160) or a Tuxedo Touch Keypad to program a new sensor. We do not recommend using a Fixed English Keypad (like a 6150) to program a sensor. If you used a FE Keypad, you would be operating blindly, and it is possible that you would mess up your programming settings. Hope that helps!

On the 2op you have address 16 through 23 for the 6160 alpha keypads so you can do up to 8, For the Tuxedo there are address 1,2,5, and 6, So you can have up to 4 on the 20p if you use Total Connect 2.0 you can only have 3 Tuxedos for TC2 will take up address 2, Be mindful of power for you only have 600ma if you go over that power a secondary power supply will be needed with a common ground to the panel.

Hey Joe, To delete the serial # from a specified zone Number in programming, when you have the serial # and Loop # for the Existing sensor showing on the keypad while in zone programming for that zone, the cursor should be on the far Right on the Loop #. Press 0 then "*", that will clear the Serial number of the existing Wireless sensor, allowing you to enroll the new sensor by triggering the sensor.
Yeung, although you can use a total of (8) 6160 or 6160RF keypads, the limitation is the RF part of the equation. The 20p can only use 1 RF receiver. So if you had more than 1 of these the receiver portion of the kp MUST be disabled or issues will arise.
The new Tuxedo that is coming out will do Zwave plus, But if we are discussing the one that is currently out if you learn a zwave plus device into it the standard feature like for a light switch off and on things like that will work but features around zwave plus will not.

If your keypad just says batt then it is a system low batt. if it is a contact or sensor it will have the zone number for example (09 BATT)

How’s the transmission range of 6160RF ?
Functionally it is same as the 5881 coverage?
The RF Transmitting Range is 200 ft.
What size resistor do I should use for my smoke detector?
The resistor size is determines by the panel you have, not the smoke itself.

Each wireless sensors need to be programmed to their own zone number. If 9 is used to go to 10 or the next available zone.

Will the Vista 20ip support Z-Wave Plus?
The panel itself has no z-wave capabilities, however we do have the new tuxedo keypad that does does add zwave plus capabilities to the panel.
