There is no way this is from 1990, Debbie hadn't aged a second and looks every bit as stunning as she did during Blondie's peak a decade or more earlier.
It's a brilliant interview, Debbie is very open and chatty which wasn't always been the case.
For me she will always be the most beautiful rock star in history.
This is what you get when you pair Deborah with an interviewer she knows and trusts. She's quite guarded in terms of press, but her everything is down and discussing things she generally hates to touch upon. I'm pleased we got to see this side of her here.
Deborah Harry is 45 yrs old in this interview and she still absolutely FLOORS me, each and every time. I cannot stop staring at her, what a True Beauty and such a cool girl. Sigh...

Her command of the camera and confidence is astonishing.
She looks at the interviewer with an attitude of " there's nothing you can ask me I can't handle. " It makes her hotter than she already was.
the best interview I've heard, from intentionally choosing strong headed band members, to her defending the attention being thrust upon her via the band's name by saying "the guys could have dyed their hair blonde" to solve the problem, was just absolute cherry on the top.

she was stunning even at 45/46 well into her 50's and then the looks faded but with the drugs she had been taking I'm amazed she managed to maintain the looks! One of, if not the most glamerous stunning female singer on the planet, backed by the worlds best drummer, what a line up!
Debbie and Clem the two most important members.And Debbies looks were magical.But when you get to aroubd 60 it's natrual that they fade.And when in her 60's , I haven't seen any 60 year old woman looking that good!

Iconic isn't enough. She's just so cool, and very smart, but not a "fame monster" she always seems down to earth and a real human being, no need to put on airs.
She seems to have effortless magnetism, it's almost like the world goes to her and she just graciously accepts it.

I've always adored Deborah and Chris. They have so much talent and are a perfect combination. Nobody comes close to them for me. I actually remember watching this interview on TV. It's wonderful to see it again. I remember waiting with bated breath for Def, Dumb & Blonde to come out. I skipped school to go and buy it too 😄😄😄

There was a lot of negative comment about Debbie Harry around this time. Too old, washed up etc....Rubbish! She was astonishing.
In the following year (1991) I heard a DJ and a real-life friend say that Debbie had put on an awful lot of weight.

Yes, infact the alternative version of Hanging On The Telephone was shown on The ITV Chart Show on Saturday 9th June 1990, if I remember the camera just moved in and out. No angles of edits.
I'd love to see it in full, did you record it?
I'm not sure if I still have it but will have a look through my old video tapes.

She had a full facelift at the end of the 80s.... this was in the days when if you got a good surgeon the results were fantastic..... she had been friends with the plastic surgeon and asked him for a facelift.. she looks amazing here
@@peachmelba1637 - yes, and she has always been forthright about having had some work done to deal with what she called "the droop". Jowels etc. She looks stunning for her age, always.
