    I like coating with a Tbar as well. Looks like water based. I wish you would wear a mask. That dust adds up bro, and think about what that dust really is. Floor looks great 👍

    My parents had their floors refinished 2 years ago but they still smell and really smell under the rugs like the finish was recently applied. Isnt this dangerous and unusual? Should the floors be resealed?

    • @HowToFlooring
      @HowToFlooring  Před rokem +1

      Depending on the room size I feel as if using the tbar upside down is more efficient on short runs if that makes sense! Try it out if you haven’t!

    Cam these older floors contain aluminum oxide? Is the process differe if they do?

    • @HowToFlooring
      @HowToFlooring  Před 5 měsíci +1

      If you are recoating aluminum oxide you need to prep the floor before buffing to soften the AO

      Im not sure what buffer he is using but looks like a standard 16 in plate . You can get a pad for screening and when i go to do my final coat i use a 220 screen . Not sure what he is using but probly between a 120 used and a 220 new .

    Never go across against the grain

    • @HowToFlooring
      @HowToFlooring  Před rokem +9

      When buffing between coats, or for a buff and coat, it actually does not matter what direction you go as you are only abrading finish, NOT the wood. No wood is being sanded therefore there is no grain to go against. You want to create micro scratches so the finish you are putting down has a surface to adhere to.
