  • If you're making your own screens at home you'll need to know how to coat them with Photo Emulsion. Here's how we do it!
Screens, emulsion, sensitiser and coating troughs are available at handprinted.co.uk

Hi, I would like to know how do you expose the screen.

You can do it at home using this method: handprinted.co.uk/blogs/blog/at-home-screen-exposure-with-bridget?_pos=2&_sid=57976d0e8&_ss=r

@@Handprinteduk thank you so much, one last question. I saw you used a 20 w light, I have a 50 w led light and I have the same emulsion. Should I expose for half of what you did or how show I do this. I have been trying so much and nothing works 😞

@@axlbeltre8240 I would start with less time and see how you get on. If all the emulsion washes out, the time is too short. if the emulsion can't be removed the time is too long.

Just my view but, would recommend new students start with both hands when coating. Single handed skill when coating comes with familiarity. Just me, but im old school. 😁😜
