One of the saddest days of my life. I remember the disbelief i had when I heard the news of his passing during sporting activities in my community. As I had seen him addressing my community just few days ago. I felt connected to his leadership and spirit. Rest in Peace Tata.

@@leonardoromero2000 Chris Hani. "Tata" means "father." So Chris Hani was born the same year as my own father, so he is "tata" to me.

Just listened to a few of his videos. I am grieving right now 😭🥺 . It's so easy to say he was in exile but it's different how he narrates his story. I am angry. I'm sad and wounded😭😭😭

Chris Hani was more than a Che Guevara and more than a Nelson Mandela - he was more than both combined. History will never forget what this young rebel did for his people. We salute you Chris Hani. ONWORDS !!!

@@leonardoromero2000 Chris Hani was the leader of MK of South Africa. Before our first democratic election he was shot 4 times outside of his house, it was the most shocking time in South Africa's history because apartheid was starting to come to a close. After his death the election was held early.

Chris Hani was the leader of South African communist party and also held ANC membership. He was assassinated by an individual racist who hired a man from Poland to come and assassinate him. He later said that his assassination was motivated by the party he represented which was the South African conservative party. Conservative party, publicly diassociated themselves with the killing and it was proven to be the case (conservative party not involved) behing the assassination. Chris Hani, as you can hear him speak at the end of this Mandela interview, he was preaching peace just like the rest of the ANC struggle icons. His murder was proven to be solely racial motivated.
