Nylon string guitar with a tap plate to start. For company brand guitars, Cordoba, Alhambra and Yamaha have great entry guitars for a decent budget. But if you’d like to have a handmade guitar, under $500, then there are some Luthiers in Mexico that make nice student guitars, like Guitarras Zalapa. Hope that helps... 🙂
