- Meir "Poogy" Fenigstein is the drummer for the legendary Israeli band, "Kaveret". We had the pleasure and honor recording him in our studio.
Meir will perform with the Kaveret this summer in their reunion shows.

Torturekillers2006, funny that you say that it “sounds a bit like The Beatles”.
In their heyday, early-to-late-70s, Kaveret WAS the Israeli equivalent of The Beatles, that’s how popular they were, and still are. Though they no longer regularly tour, they have gotten together for periodic reunion tours, the last was about two years ago? Anyway, in Israel, everybody, literally EVERYBODY, knows their songs.

pocket gets you the money, gigs, and a youtube video....do you have either??? I know that dude man playing does.
The hardest part of drumming is keeping it simple.. I'd rather see a guy keeping it cool, playing steady, not losing tempo, than some dude trying to show off his chops and fast fills..
Chops might be very fun to play and listen to,
but MUSIC and CHOPS are two different things!
in this video, it´s about the MUSIC..
if you want chops then go ahead and search for it.
But if you think drumming is only about chops then i feel sorry for you, because then you are missing out on something that is bigger than chops... it´s called MUSIC!
Music and chops aren't two things. Chops are definitely part of drumming as is pocket and musicality.

A couple of questions for any drummers here. 1) why is he playing with the sticks reversed, is it for a different “sound”? 2) what is the purpose of the cymbal with the holes?
+Mark Lassman The O-Zone Cymbals are just for different sound.
About the backwards stick I'll ask him next time I see him.
