Having recently made it to pension age, I have dodged a bullet.
I completely sympathise with young people trying to make it in today's world.
I'll probably never understand how the people of this country haven't risen up already and dragged these liars and thieves out into the street and tarred and feathered them for all to see.

I had a brain scan for night fits February 2022... they told me I have a tumour (apparently non cancerous) on my pituitary gland via letter and told me i was referred to a team to do tests and treat me as my whole hormone system is being affected.
18 months later, still waiting.. nothing.. I’m just casually sitting here with what I’ve been told is a brain tumour.. 👌🏻.

Those of us on what may be considered a "decent wage" (a year or 2 ago) are struggling I can only imagine how hard it is for those who are unemployed. More needs to be done, I'm scared everytime i go into a supermarket and have considered living off cereal, it's really scary times
We get £360 a month for all bills, food and any clothing expenses. So we mostly live off additional support from food banks
Thing is, people are demanding (and rightly so) more financial support for the lowest paid, more money for NHS workers, increases to minimum wage and at the same time lower taxes. Where is this money going to come from? He can't just conjure it out of thin air. They ought to increase tax on the super rich, energy companies, stop massive monopolies like Amazon from completely avoiding paying any tax in the UK. I know we live in a capitalist society, but when there's such a huge imbalance where the super rich are accumulating more wealth than ever at the cost of the masses, it just isn't sustainable. But of course he's a Tory, so he'll protect the super rich at all costs.

Myself and my husband get £80 each a week (Contributory ESA). On top of that is my husband's private pension of £60. We aren't entitled to the 'Cost Of Living' payments. A few days ago, on a benefit's group , a young woman asked when her £300 cost of living payment would go in the bank. Her husband earns £45K a year and she gets UC 'top up' for children and child care costs. How is this even fair? On top of this, our local council are making us pay £60 towards our rent each week and £75 a month council tax - we are on one meal a day. This is because we've worked in the past - it's a joke
