testing Lidl - Parkside shredder

pros:
- cut everything into a very small shred
- light
cons:
- loud
- can not shred thick branches (~3-4cm still ok, with good blades)
- is not self-propelled, only gravity and hand feed the branches to the cutter.
- all the leaves of the branch stop the “pull”, then you have to help with manual feeding.
- I doubt the blades need to be sharpened regularly. the availability of spare blades is a question mark.
- Little dangerous because may knock the stick back on your fingers.
value for money: definitely if you accept the above weaknesses.
would I buy again: no, because of loud and a bit ”dangerous”.. - Zábava

I used mine from new for approximately 30 minutes. I heard a loud bang and it switched off.
I checked for clogging and it was clear.
I reset it and turned it on. Unfortunately it only turns on for 3 seconds and then off.
I will return it tomorrow. I don't recommend it at all. I have seen someone else mention hearing a loud bang and then theirs also stopped working.
It was cheap but unreliable. When it worked, it worked quite well to be fair.
I didn't put anything in thicker than 4 cm...
same happen with me. worked 19 mins then cutoff.. replace it and new did the same. now will refund it
Nagyon jó, amíg éles a kése. Kevés használat után a késeket élezni kellene, de szorosan rögzített. NEM LEHET KICSAROZNI a késeket, pedig a leírás szerint lehetne.

Out of the last 7 items I have bought from lidl had to return 5 of them. I am just hoping this shreadder goes ok if not it will be the last time I buy anything from lidl.
Do you know whether the blades can be removed and sharpened?
I believe so. Haven’t try to remove it but there was couple screw for blades..
Yes blade can be reversed or sharpened
i bought one but unfortunately it broke i put a branch in and it made a load of noise and then it cracked the aluminium casting. i wouldnt recommend this type of spinning blade shredder you want a cross cut one this type isnt great. it does the job ok but i found mine jammed a lot

Like another use commented, it was good as long as blades was sharp. Eventually it was actually pretty danger machine and I hurt my finger with it. I decided to return whole shredder since overall it was too loudy and a bit danger to use. Can’t recommend it.
Can I buy this machine in a Lidl supermarcet?
used mine twice 4 bags and its smoking

it worked well for an hour then it stopped
Overload protection probably activated. Try pressing the reset button and if that doesn't work bring it back to lidl for the two year guarantee.
it did the same with my 2 lidle shreder
