    INGREDIENTS
    ▢2 tablespoons oil
    ▢1 medium onion - - chopped
    ▢1-2 cloves garlic - - minced
    ▢1 pound beef brisket - - cut into cubes
    ▢2-3 cups water
    ▢4 tablespoons soy sauce
    ▢3-4 pieces star anise
    ▢3-4 pieces cloves
    ▢2 pieces bay leaves
    ▢2 tablespoons brown sugar
    ▢1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
    ▢1 cup carrot - - cut round about an inch thick
    ▢1/2 tablespoon cornstarch - - dissolved in 1/4 cup water
    ▢spring onions - - chopped, for garnish

    Yummy! Personally I would get a deeper sear on the brisket with a higher heat to help enrichen the dish more.

      what part of beef yung brisket? alam ba ng mga matadiro yan sa palengke? Or masarap dn ba kaya pag tinderloin part gamitn pra d matagal mag pa lambot ?

    If I were to use pressure cooker how many minutes should the brisket be cooked? Thank you

      I have not tried it yet, but since these are cut into cubes, shouls not take long. :)

      You can pressure cooker it for 20 to 25 mins and let the pressure cooldown by itself, if the beef has tendons add another 5 to 10 mins

    Hi can I use kalitiran instead of brisket?

      Yes, however, you might need to adjust the cooking time since kalitiran could become tender a bit quicker than brisket. It is also leaner so it might not be as moist and flavorful.

      Cloves normally yan ang nilalagay pag gumagawa ka ng glazed Ham...d ko din alam ang tagalog term nya..sa ingredients lane sa Supermarket halos mgkakatabi sila ng Star Anise...

      It is the cut of meat from the breast or lower chest of beef. Yes, basta ask niyo po ung part na yan sa butcher. :)
