I Got SCAMMED On The GOLF COURSE!

- In this fun video i take on two Golfmates Legends Mr Barlow (15) & Captain Ebay Pete Johnson (15) at Bentham Golf Club, We play Stableford matchplay.
I think I got scammed on the Golf Course as they both receive a shot on every hole.
We use the stroke index to decide who gets a shot on which holes.
Overview of Stableford
Stableford is a form of stroke play where:
A player’s or side's score for a hole is based on points awarded by comparing the player’s or side's number of strokes (including strokes made and penalty strokes) on the hole to a fixed target score for the hole set by the Committee, and
The competition is won by the player or side who completes all rounds with the most points.
The normal Rules for stroke play in Rules 1-20 apply, as modified by these specific Rules. Rule 21.1 is written for:
Scratch competitions, but can be adapted for handicap competitions, and
Individual play, but can be adapted for competitions involving partners, as modified by Rules 22 (Foursomes) and 23 (Four-Ball), and for team competitions, as modified by Rule 24.
Scoring in Stableford
(1) How Points Are Awarded. Points are awarded to a player for each hole by comparing the player’s score to the fixed target score for the hole, which is par unless the Committee sets a different fixed target score:
Hole Played In
More than one over fixed target score or no score returned - 0 Points
One over fixed target score - 1 Point
Fixed target score - 2 Points
One under fixed target score - 3 Points
Two under fixed target score - 4 Points
Three under fixed target score - 5 Points
Four under fixed target score - 6 Points

I’m an Irishman on a temporary work assignment to Washington state in the US. I was using this video to explain stableford to my US golfing colleagues. When I say they were confused it’s an understatement😀. We then started discussing Mr B’s scoopy whoopy, that was hilarious listening to their comments on his chipping. Well done again for the entertainment, keep it going.

Stableford is best summed up as net shots to par. Par = 2
Birdie = 3
Eagle = 4
Albatross = 5
Bogey = 1
Everything else gets 0.

Gentlemen thank you for such an entertaining video. I did love from a right hander "a power fade to the left". Now the bad news, Stableford scores. Stableford is a form of stroke so you only pick up if you can't score, concessions aren't part of the game, So the real scores are: H1, L 0 (picked up), MrB 3, EBay 3, H2 L 0 (picked up) MrB 3, EBay 3, H3 L 0 (picked up) MrB 0, EBay 2, H4 L 0 (picked up) MrB 3, EBay 2.. So I have the official standings of that Stablefod game as Liam 0 points, Mr B at 9 points and EBay Pete winning with 10 Points.

Stableford is so easy. I was cracking up as you all tried to explain it in different ways. I'm sure our friends over the pond will be totally confused now, I think I am too after that. Hilarious.
I reckon the best 3 player match is "Split Sixes" ... each player scores based on stableford. 6pts available on each hole. Outright 1st gets 4pts. Outright 2nd gets 2pts. 2-way share of first gets 3pts each. 3-way share of 1st gets 2pts each. 2-way share of 2nd gets 1pt each. Cheers NZ Graham

When there is a given shot for any holes, minus it from whatever shot played and with the result follow the above.
