Hi everyone! I have been wanting to do a cover of Danny Boy for quite sometime, but I could never quite figure out a good arrangement for it. This past month I ran across a cover by GENTRI (link to their channel below) and absolutely fell in love with their version of the song. So basically, my cover is a cover inspired by GENTRI's cover (haha). Please go check out their amazing channel below and show them some love and support! :) Their arrangements are beautiful.

The first time I saw this video, it inspired such a longing for nature and impatience with quarantine that I went outdoors for the first time in a while. This is the song I want played at my funeral. I'm still young, I'll admit, just at 30. and I have no history or relations with the military (but my dad was in the air force) but something about this song just gets the me. The longing, the wishing to see old friends. Wanting the old days back.
