I love how the 970 was the sponsor and not not 980/990 LOL
@srijitia 🥺 ok spam bot
@Sakshi gaming that's you, you've posted that same comment multiple times on this video
Haha that is so funny!
That was funny
Honestly, still think it's a bad sponsor due to some drives (I hear) that aren't the 980 or 990 failing as well , and especially after Samsung phones JUST got put on blast in this episode.
TechLinked: Does a video all about how Samsung 980 SSDs are failing
Samsung: Sponsors TechLinked to talk about the good reliability of the old 970 SSDs
Funny thing, my 970 Evo Plus died like 1 year ago and the 5 year warranty is a pain in the ass, samsung tell me i have to contact Amazon to do the RMA and amazon tell me to contact Samsung
This was hilarious when I saw this sponsored portion but like be real here what ssd should we get now since I’m not looking to getting a Samsung ssd
@@Timekeeper-fr7wti got three ssds from sk hynix for different pcs and their all very fast with zero issues after little over a year
@@Timekeeper-fr7wt I guess my question is what is causing it to fail? Is it the nand flash chips or something else? If it’s the chips I bet a lot of SSDs use Samsung chips. I have a western digital black and it does the job. If you buy one from a reputable company with a cache on it then I don’t think you have much to worry about (is what I used to say before the largest most reputable SSD brand had a major problem…)
My 970 died recently at 99% life
Riley is so well utilized for his talents. Also, it must be such a cherry on top that all of these guys and gals get along so well at LTT. I know we only see what we're shown, but this team has done so well and has done nothing but build on something beautiful to make it amazingly gorgeous.

I'm honestly surprised they weren't charging businesses to use Twitter already. I mean just look at how many businesses use it as a replacement for a costumer support page, YT for example.
Susan should be charged more. Just because.
it’s because those businesses being there drives traffic and users to Twitter, and they make money by displaying ads. (which the company will display using that account)
Having them pay makes it more likely that they just go somewhere else
The ultra model will most likely be a marginal improvement to further inflate their margins by marketing to richer people... Or they will nerf the lower models to artificially increase the perceived value of the higher one. We all know thats how it will go lol.
Yea, the new “Ultra” name will just get overhyped as always.

The main fear I have with putting AI in a search engine is that these AIs are terrible at getting basic facts right. If Google replaces their search engine with a robot that is very good at lying convincingly, they'll create a whole new wave of richeously misinformed idiots even worse than anything before online.
Not only can they already do this via manipulating search results, they have been in fact found guilty of doing so and fined for doing it. With that said, I don't want it replacing search but I'd like it as a tool. Sort of like how you can search google images by uploading an image.
It's almost like they planned it that way...
For that matter even traditional search has misinformation peppered throughout. The probability of AI misinformation is lower than misinformation via SEO. AI is the future
@@shaihazher And that's where you're wrong, an AI is trained on data that is already available, if current data is manipulated, the resulting AI will end up biased towards those lies.
You should consider the AI as a middleman that digests the already existing search results and sumarizes them for you, not as a godsend that's capable of filtering throught bullsh¡t, that still has to be done manually.
At least Bing had a disclaimer saying answers could be wrong more or less

Great video. You're definitely raising the bar on quick and clever reactions.
Speaking as someone who recently specced a 970 evo plus for a build, i’m a little disappointed the sponsor read didn’t include the distinction that the evo plus gets those speeds on it’s PCIe gen3 interface, rather than requiring gen4 or 5 to reach those speeds.
This made me literally lol 3-4 times. Script writers killed it this time. Not that they don’t normally but there was some extra spice this time

The ultra means it can go ultra instinct.
For the easy payment of $14.99 a month
you mean an EXTRA 15$/month? iphones are like 40ish/month just for the phone
970 Evo Sponsor is actually a damn good one. Been running mine for a couple years now, and have loved it. $160 US for 2TB is pretty damn good, considering I only paid $40 less for 1TB. Lol
I saw a sale on these on the rise lately. Think I should actually get one for once!
Now is definitely a good time to pull the trigger if you've been thinking about it!
I saw an article that had logic saying the ultra watch is titanium and that the phone could be as well, it showed a nice looking render of a rounded corner all metal phone basically like the 8 plus with the new screen and camera, i liked the idea tbh
There is definitely something up with that review model. My S21 is at 20gb with carrier bloatware and a ton of updates. I highly doubt they've tripled the usage of OS+bloatware
lmao they were sponsered by samsung in this video too
Do you think it would be news if it was their regular amount of bloatware?
It's outstanding, that's what makes it worth looking into.
Got the S23 Ultra, and i've got 63gb of my storage used up by "system" so i guess they indeed did double or even triple it
@@philippmettger1953 probably why they made free double the storage part of their preorder perk

I want to get an ultra or pro but I'm hoping its not portless
Think companies need to go back to specifying ROM and Storage separately for devices. That's not a 128 GB device, that's a 64 GB with the other half being System.
Define system. That's the catchphrase. That 60GB are apps that most of them cannot be removed. Hate Samsung for it.
When did that happen?
I always remember them using those terms interchangeably, specially for smartphones.
I also think ISPs shouldn't be allowed to arbitrarily advertise based on bits instead of bytes as it is purposefully manipulative, but here we are decades later.

1:34 damn he spitting bars for a second
My phone uses 10gb for system. I also had a phone with 16gb space and it had more bloatware. It's from the same company.
I would rather them rename the current phones to the M chip name scheme so it's easier to make sense of the chips too like
"iPhone 15, iPhone 15 pro, iPhone 15 max" instead of pro, pro max, pro max ultra
Pro is named for feature improvements over the base model. Max is named for an increase in screen size.
Ultra will likely be an improvement in both features and screen size.

@@zbronstein3901 pro max is already a combo of size and feature increase. I feel like ultra will be to justify some kind of price increase only.
You mentioned the 23 ultra when talking about the android partition and said 128gb compared to 60 taken up but specifically with the ultra the lowest storage is 256 gb
It isn't really 60 used. The AnandTech article title is wrong. The conversion from 1000 to 1024 and the abstraction of total space used by the user to make a total of 256GB or 512GB is what makes it being displayed that way. Just like windows does with 938GB of usable storage on a 1TB drive.

Things to gigabyte ratio is something I need
One thing that would be good…. Is if introducing the iPhone Ultra model will make it so the other models are for less, but each model still has good performance upgrades. Like, maybe the base iPhone model is reduced to 900 CAD rather than being 1100, the pro model is reduced to 1100 cad rather than being 1400, and then the ultra model takes the previous iPhone pro price tag of 1400, maybe as well they’ll bring back the mini models and they’ll be a really low 800 CAD or something.
I know that since “this is apple” they wouldn’t do that…. But I’ve been on the older low end devices for too long, and for once I’d like to get a new device that I can keep just as long as these ones, but future upgrades will still be cheap.
I love how they ran out of things to call it lol
Oh man. Totally. Yup. Companies are going to allow Microsoft's AI to listen to their meetings and provide them a recap of them. I can't see how that will possibly go wrong. Before someone stans for Microsoft, let's remember the great Exchange vulnerability debacle.
They will likely have the ability to limit its use similar to limiting the ability to record a meeting, so if a meeting is allowed to be recorded it can use the AI for a written recap too. In that circumstance there isn't much increase in vulnerability since any vulnerability would've leaked video recordings too, which is arguably worse.
Besides pixel being only 15 gb, it's actually 15gb with an android os installed as a backup for os updates. Therefore, Samsung is 52 GB larger, as it has no backup os
The audio balance is off, guys. I don't think you wanted the music to be that prominent.
That 970 evo sponsor was unexpected lol
I’m still stuck on the difference between a regular and a “professional” phone user.
Also, iPhone Flex was already a thing; it was called the 6S!
I think you mean iPhone 6, 6S dramatically reduced bending issues.
The 6 and 6+ especially would be prob to bending. The 6S fixed the issue.
You cannot even uninstall most of the bloatware in the Samsung Galaxy line. Including crap like Facebook. And you have a lot of duplicate Google aps, like another store, another voice assistant, another calendar app. You're paying for a premium product, but receiving a free-with-ads tier product.
how many GB is teh iOS install ?
Whoa, I'll be looking forward to my iPhone 15 Pro Max Ultra!
What would be interesting would be an M1 based iPhone that you can hook up to a USB-C/Thunderbolt dock and use as a desktop. Or just let us run MacOS X on the M2 iPad Pro... Reduce the number of devices we go carrying around.
Are you really asking that for the company that use 'dongles'?
Apple would never cannibalize their own products like that? Apples whole motto at least in my view is to give you just enough, and if you want more features you have to pay more or buy their more expensive product which has those features.
@@10ToesDownWithBass you would think that his idea would be the case with an ultra model but you are absolutely true

For the simple reason that I don't know what tasks my hardware will eventually be put towards in the future.
What's the point? What software are you going to possibly use on an iPhone that can take advantage of desktop chips? Heck it's pretty useless in the iPad lineup right now!
@srijitia 🥺 you are female. You shouldn't talk about tech.
@@Kobo- Also false, as it's really a bot.
do you forget that the "M1" is literally a rebadged A14 ? like what is achieved by taking the iphone/ipad SoC, putting it on a mac, then back on the iphone ?

@@YounesLayachi I want to run x86_64 and x86 instructions natively on a phone. the 'm1' was the best way to do that, thanks to hardware support for translating those instruction sets into native ARM instructions, which are RISC based and not CISC based. in other words, backwards compatability and forwards looking technology roled into one system on a chip design. of course, ideally you'd also include things like AMD's RDNA 3 cores for gaming and more memory.
Hats off to Samsung for figuring out how to make Android take up more than twice as much space as Windows.
my bet is that's reserved space for telemetry data
