Thanks for the video Hannah. I was using a heat gun on my candles without giving them long enough to set after pouring. Your advice to wait 24 hours helped.
This was great, I've been looking for "make your own candles" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Cenadoelyn Candle Contemplation - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my m8 got great success with it.
Wow .... Where were you all these years when I gave up on making candles .... Great tip maybe I should start again ... Maybe make a video on my channel regarding it
Can’t thank you enough for this one. Just bought a heat gun. I’m a little nervous to use it. I have a beautiful candle I can’t sell right now because of one tiny air bubble. Fingers crossed!
I did this with dyed wax and it just created sweat bubbles on mines not sure if I did it long enough but I stopped because it was giving a disaster in the making lol
I'm having a terrible time with frosting on the sides of my candles it's happening when I store the candles I think it has to do with the temperature in my home. Is there a proper temp to store candles?
Sometimes it takes a few times. Heat it up. Let it cool and repeat until u get it perfect. That or try just circling the heat gun around and do it for a few more seconds as well as make sure the heat gun is not closely over the wax
I find that the hair dryer has too much air pressure/flow - causes more of a mess. Heat guns are typically pretty inexpensive and a life saver/time saver if you're going to be making candles frequently.
Does this work for coloured candles as well? I tried this method on a candle that had a top similar to the once shown and it caused frosting on the sides of the candles that previously didn’t have frosting before doing that
Hello! If you're having issues with frosting I would suggest trying the double pour method! Just make sure you leave enough room in the candle when you initially pour it. Hope this helps!!=)
Perfect but my problem is after each burn i get craters or cottage cheese how do i fix this? I am using 464 soy. so I want to start selling and dont want this to happen to customer. I used to buy from yankee and that never happened it would burn smooth all the way through. Any tips?
Poke it with a chopstick several times around the wick before it completely sets. Then go in with tje heat gun. Have to get rid of the air bubbles or sink holes.
Good trick to know. All of my tops turn out bumpy despite using a candy thermometer to both heat the wax to the right temp (185) and letting it cool (135) ☹️
This was great, I been tryin to find out about "how to label silicone molds" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Peyaniel Psychological Predominance - (search on google ) ? It is a good one of a kind guide for discovering the trick to be a candle maker for profit without the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my partner got amazing results with it.
This lady is a life save, and explains so well!! Thank you
We make candles as gifts and we of course want them to look as nice as possible. Thank you for this pro-tip!

Me too, I was heat gunning after 2hrs and they would melt/reset but still be lumpy bumpy, so I’ll try this now
Same, I would go in 30mins afterwards. You have to be very patient with candles geez worth it in the end though

I want to add dried flower petals and crystals to the tops of my candles, I assume using the heat gun is how I would accomplish that?

Can you use a hair dryer??
NO!
Does mixing beeswax and soywax improve sweating issue?
For first time usage it smells burnt. Is it normal? Now im afraid to use it
After doing all this and while using the candle.. while melting the shape sometimes will be uneven! What to do?
What to do when your candle is to full? Thank, love you videos.
Jeat gun then cotton to get some wax out. Then heat gun again to smoothe out

what kind of heat gun it is? can it be any heat gun for candles
Can i use a hairdryer instead?
That was going to be my question. I reckon so🤔😌
Messy
Can I use the heat gun on the candles that are already dried

That is some of the characteristics of soy wax. Paraffin will have a smoother top after burning.
Hi what can I do if after the use of the heat gun it continues to be sink holes in the top of the candle ?
Poke it with a chopstick several times around the wick before it completely sets. Then go in with tje heat gun. Have to get rid of the air bubbles or sink holes.
I can use a hair dryer right?
It may have too much air force causing splashing. A heat gun is high heat low air force.
How to avoid sweating candle
What temperature do you have the heat gun get at?
It only has high and low. I usually use low.

I pour mines at 115-120. And they turn out great!

Whipped wax
Use a hair dryer, nothing to buy...
