Wow... I've never seen a protest like that. As graphic as the footage is, it is so important to make people aware of some of the horrendous practices in these industries. I cannot watch any footage of animal cruelty; it stays with me for years and contributes to depression. The last footage I saw was a news story and I thought I had some kind of a responsibility to watch it. It was a place where they slaughter horses, and the guy was punching them and calling them bastards. He'd obviously lost all of his compassion. Was he like that before, or had the job changed him? No excuse anyway. I have so much respect for the people in these protests. It's really important work.

Live stock animals have a much increased capacity of emotion and pain sensitivity, due to larger neural networks in the brain. It's not just the slaughter but the conditions they are forced to live in whilst alive that's the problem. You make a good point. But it takes more land space to plant and grow the feed for animals than I would take to feed humans if they had only a plant based diet. So more worms, insects etc die due to animal agriculture. In a perfect world we would all grow our food using a 'no dig' approach. Thus saving the soils ecosystem. It's mass production which not only compromises the treatment of the land but also the treatment of our animals. America consumes 1 million chickens a day. In the slaughter and feathering process many get boiled alive having missed the throat cutting machine. @@chaigasho775 Most farms here are rocky unevem fields that will only sustain grass grazing for sheep and cows, they roam freely almost all their lives and get brought into massive sheds in cold weather and breeding season. Most farmers actually care about their livestock, if not they lose money, farms here are regularly inspected and any mistreated of animals leads to loss of grants. I hunt, fish and grow my own herbs and vegetables. Anthropomorphism of animals is silly in my view. I think I know which video they're showing; I'm a 31 year old woman and when I first saw those images I felt very upset and distressed, so goodness know how a child would react to them. Wow... I've never seen a protest like that. As graphic as the footage is, it is so important to make people aware of some of the horrendous practices in these industries. I cannot watch any footage of animal cruelty; it stays with me for years and contributes to depression. The last footage I saw was a news story and I thought I had some kind of a responsibility to watch it. It was a place where they slaughter horses, and the guy was punching them and calling them bastards. He'd obviously lost all of his compassion. Was he like that before, or had the job changed him? No excuse anyway. I have so much respect for the people in these protests. It's really important work.

Food toxicity and nutrient deficiency (e.g white bread, white rice and white sugar) are a deadly combination as one is hindering the body's building materials needed to action healing whilst at the same time taxing the system with more toxic stuff, thus bringing about disease and possibly even an early death.

Live stock animals have a much increased capacity of emotion and pain sensitivity, due to larger neural networks in the brain. It's not just the slaughter but the conditions they are forced to live in whilst alive that's the problem. You make a good point. But it takes more land space to plant and grow the feed for animals than I would take to feed humans if they had only a plant based diet. So more worms, insects etc die due to animal agriculture. In a perfect world we would all grow our food using a 'no dig' approach. Thus saving the soils ecosystem. It's mass production which not only compromises the treatment of the land but also the treatment of our animals. America consumes 1 million chickens a day. In the slaughter and feathering process many get boiled alive having missed the throat cutting machine. If you feel this is OK for another sentient being to experience, how would you rate it as an end to your own life??? Its worth walking in their shoes for a while, it may create a little understanding.

I hunt, fish and grow my own herbs and vegetables. Anthropomorphism of animals is silly in my view. I think I know which video they're showing; I'm a 31 year old woman and when I first saw those images I felt very upset and distressed, so goodness know how a child would react to them. I honestly can't believe they're broadcasting something so gruesome and cruel in a public area. AB , i very rarely disagree with you , but i believe in the truth , and nobody ever shows the stuff they was showing in the public eye . advertisers of the food trade will never show how its cultivated especially meats . yes it could be done in a different way , but sometimes , the cold hard truth in pictures , is the way . and just like you have a freedom to film in a public place , they have the freedom of expression .
