- Using alternative area formulas for triangles like Heron's Formula and the Area of an Oblique Triangle formula I work through two examples of finding the area of a segment in a circle. EXAMPLES at 3:30 7:49 NOTE: As you can read by the title we are finding Segment Areas, so please ignore the 5 or 6 times in this lesson I say sector area when I should be saying segment area!!! Professor RobBob ,thank you for another monster video/lecture on Segment Area in Circles Quicker Methods in Plane Geometry. These are practical topics in Plane/Analytical Geometry and all students should be building a formula toolbox in basic Mathematics.
I'm happy to hear you liked my teaching style and it helped you so much! And thank you for supporting by subscribing!
Wow! You were calm, spoke very clearly, and explained each though and step very thoroughly. This really helped me out a lot.
Thanks for choosing!

...you're welcome!
Just wondering... so I've learned a method of solving segment area using special triangles... can you divide the triangle into 45-45-90 triangles when trying to find the area of the triangle (to subtract from the sector)?
Sorry, it might be unclear... tried my best!
Your central angle will have to be 90 degrees for your technique to work, but that will not always be the case:) Thank you for watching and spreading the word about my math channel.
Ohhhhhhhh... Okay!
Thank you so much!!! Of course I will :)
BAM!!!
...especially your teacher so they can share it with all current and future students like yourself...BAM!!!
Just wanted to know where the hell great calculators are allowed to be used in exams. And according to me every friend of mine has given his exams without calculator. but i would appreciate you explaination and there is a direct formula to find are of segment. dont remember it now! great
Your a god.
Thanks for watching!
Hey prof great video I have a question could you message me so we can talk?
