Players think that they have to have the "God Roll" in order to be competitive, but from someone who understands off meta better than anyone, you can learn a lot and have a lot of fun giving up your Rose or your BxR to focus on the basics of your Hunter, Warlock, or Titan.

What happened to the warlock run?
> we didn’t make it before the season ended and I decided it’s more fun if we only get 1 season to reach our goal.
How do you have that gear?
> if you were a d2 player during vanilla this gear could drop for you.

Just to add onto this for an unanswered question, why isn't he making a fresh account instead of doing it on his actual account? > If he made a fresh account and did well against the really bad players he'd face at the start his SBMM bracket would move up to higher than his main account and he would have a harder time doing this than he does in a SBMM setting at his actual skill level. (And yes, comp is SBMM, not ranked based matchmaking, so it is easier to reach Ascendant as a middle of the bell curve player than an above average one)
Probably so he doesn't have to regrind new light/buy dlc if he wants to do freelance trials. Besides, he restricts himself way more then a regular player is because he only uses crucible loot.
I went 1 and 6 on placement and got gold 3 so idk
but but but... I was really looking forward to the conclusion/continuation of the warlock run :'(

This kinda makes me wish Bungie made a barebones comp pvp that makes you start from White gear like this. Just like in other MMOs. That would actually be fun

Harmony 21 is a blue arc SMG that can be pulled from collections and is unlocked by default. It has 17 zoom and 22 meters of range.

@@RogueAero Not exactly. You can still die if you get walloped by an enemy into a wall. For example the god damn Phalanx Cabal. Those mfs will still slap you into orbit.
Off meta loadouts in D2 are really fun, but a lot of the time Bungie punishes you for not running the style of loadout they want (Whether it's not using artifact mods like Classy Restoration, or not using exotics that weren't properly tuned or even not using special weapons) and it shows in the fact that none of their patches seem to address making the sandbox more balanced for off meta but rather focuses more on shifting the meta to a different weapon type. Some exotics also have been the go to for years like Ophidians or Stompees and don't really get any nerfs or reworks to give other exotics a chance to actually get the usage they should have as they actually contribute to a playstyle rather than just being a necessity for an effect that could've been redistributed into the base game.
You know stompees got nerfed into the ground and are basically unusable now right

Fr if hunters had a base stompees effect theyd be much more unique anyways, i feel like hunters have tether weaken and invisibility and thats about it and invisibility in crucible i smack them all day because i can still see them very clearly lol

Good to know I wasn't the only one that couldn't throw away the starting armor. I use the Halloween mask and a glitched horror's least instead of what he uses though.
I have a cool exotic bow idea
It’s called drydens bane
The perk is called ‘trick arrow’
It states that ‘the first arrow you fire is a kinetic arrow, every arrow after the initial shot is one of the other 5 damage types(void, solar, arc, stasis or strand)
The second perk is called the lucky arrow and it states that ‘after a kill the next arrow you fire uses it’s corresponding elemental perk(weakened for void, jolted for arc, scorched for solar, slow for stasis and unraveled for strand)
It has a draw time of 612 and has similar stats to ticuus divination

That honestly sounds really good for pve and pvp and not really op considering the things we can already do and it'd be very versatile for pve builds

He probably should have an entire fireteam using the basic loadout. It’s kind of toxic handicapping yourself in comp and playing freelance.

This is a great series. I havent been playing crucible because i'm newish and figured my gear wasnt good enough. I will go ahead and try some matches tonight.
this series has convinced me that comp isn't all that scary and I'm so glad it's continuing
tbh, at this point comp is the only place where firing a gun is possible and not dying in 5 seconds to someone else
if you arnt good, comp is your safe space. its sbmm. ascendance is irrelevant until its rank based.
It wont be scary because its based on your skill like you wont play actual ascendant players youll just be playing people that are as good as you but beat the others as good as you. They decided to keep the sbmm aggresive in comp rather than an actual rank system....... basically you can be ascendant and have a .80 kd yrah youll probably maych against 1.1 or 1.2 kds but its not bad regardless

you start with new light at the cosmodrone, and have to repeat any mainline quest. Witch queen, new light, etc.

When you're a LOZTP fan and know that the intro music is Hyrule field :)
This should really be a game mechanic, Destiny's version of Ironman mode. Where you can only use gear earned through activities, can't trade gear between characters using the vault or dim or anything, and earn your own currencies per Ironman character. The only difference since it's an Ironman character, you automatically gain access to all your light subclass abilities, aspects and fragments and skip the new light campaign entirely. Along with getting a very basic kit of blue armor/weapons to start with.
I agree. I did hat this guy did in the video but with a Titan and non competitive. Like a game within the game or like you mentioned Iron Man Challenge.

so before it starts, im guessing stats (like not t5+ res) would be a huge hinderance, also idk if you are "cheating" by having all fragments/aspects bought... making a new class a bit before lf to prep my third character, and finally busting out my old d1 solar only hunter for gg pvp builds, I had to empty my glimmer over and over and I still dont have every aspect for glimmer, oof

incredibox is its own little app thing where you play around with instruments so i have no idea what the exact song is but most of them should sound similar regardless
