If I had a dime for every problem encountered with a Spectrum product I'd be well off! Been a larger club member repairing/building anything R/C for decades and NOBODY has more issues with their gear than the folks with Spectrum products! I have very little to say about Horizon Hobby due to their sales being low cost poorly engineered entry level ready to fail soon gear...they even sent me back a failed Tx (that still did not work after their "repair" and "bench testing") I had to throw it out!
BUT I must admit they did a really fine job on this one. This bike is a masterpiece of engineering, every inch of it, especially for the money. I swore I'd NEVER buy any of their products since I prefer to spend more to get REAL engineering and products designed to repel not fill our landfills. This product does just that in it's stock form. Thankfully there are 3rd party vendors, so it's a double win.
You saved me some money I wanted to consolidate to 1 remote I hate that they only allow 1 vehicle to be bound with the dx3 its a pathetic money grab and you need a module for each car at least Traxxas you can bind multiple cars with their rtr remotes and have one module for all your cars. Probably pick up a few more dumbo receivers love the review the brutal honesty is hilarious

I use the Noble NB4 for all my cars. But I’m using stock radio on the bike just for that reason. Reassigning everything is a PITA!

Yea, probably can. The new receivers have gyros built in. Can assign to a button. Or leave it on or off. I’m staying stock so things don’t go wonky

I bought a used losi 22x4 and it had a spektrum sr6200.. now its a 70 dollar paper weight lol was thinking about this radio thanks you saved me 239

Unless you already run spekttrum on everything it's not worth switching. I have 18 Losi RC cars and trucks 14 Arrma RC cars and Trucks and over 27 planes that are all bind & fly or just came with Spektrum RTR radios. That's the only reason why I have a Spektrum DX5 Pro and an ix12 radio. If I buy something non Spektrum like Traxxas I use my FlySky Noble.

I agree with you 100%. Spektrum radios are way overpriced for the number of features they have. To me, Spektrum radios are all that great. The range sucks on quite a few of their TX. That's certainly the case for me with the stock TX, which came with the bike. I also have the RadioLink RC8X. It's 10 x much better radio than Spektrums. I'm just curious: Did you ever try the RadioLink radio with the bike? Can you use all the functions of the bike with the RadioLink?

I'm hoping for titanium sprocket & the motor gear. Do you need to balance the wheels, they do with cars. Have you loosened the slip clutch. & last weights placed on bike in certain areas. Thanks for video. Has any good aftermarket parts come out yet.

100% I have a Spektrum DX5c and I MUCH prefer my Radiolink RC6GS. Granted, the RC6GS looks like it was designed in the 80's... I can buy two 7-channel Radiolink receivers with gyro and 1900 feet range for the price of one 3-channel Spektrum receiver.
I'm calling bull shit on your claim of 1900 feet with the rc6gs I bought one and destroyed my speed run car with it at 400 meters it lost transmission and there was no fail safe to stop the buggy at all. Do your self a favour and buy a Dumborc 6ch, I've never lost transmission ever and don't have to set anything up on the radio.

I am thinking about getting this motorcycle and the new Radiomaster MX12. I would be interested in learning more about your Radiolink solution and the Radiomaster MX12 should support the Radiolink receiver and maybe an option for me. Is the Radiolink receiver specifically designed for working with Motorcycles (not familiar with their ground receivers) or are you using a stabilizer designed for aircraft? If using an aircraft stabilizer, how did you get it to work?
I would be curious what you think about using the new RadioMaster MX12 with the Losi Promoto mx 1/4-scale motorcycle using the 4-in-1 module and, if so, how you would need to program it for the motorcycle.

Have you tried to use your Flysky with the bike? What do you think of the 4PM Plus to use with the bike? I'm not sure if the dial knob of the 4pm can be used tioadjust wheelie setting? Please advise. Thanks!
No I haven’t. After watching exocaged try the flysky on his I didn’t think there was much point in trying any others. It looked like it handled awful. I played around with even the pinion on these and it totally changes the way the flywheel handles wheelies and stuff. I think I’ve decided to basically leave mine stock besides a few small upgrades and leave it alone. The thing is pretty perfect out of the box honestly and going to be a tough one to mod. Frank Root said they even tried better servos with no saver and it messed with how the bike handled lol
@@2fmrc In my humble opinion, the radio control motorcycle technology is still in its early stages, and hobbyists like us are still acquainting ourselves with its behavior. I completely agree with you, and I'm grateful for your quick response. I've owned my motorcycle for two weeks, and I'm already considering various upgrades, such as a faster motor for backflips, improved tires, suspension, chain, and an aluminum alloy enclosure. The plate that braces the front suspension seems to be the weakest part and deserves special attention.
Hobbyists are resourceful, and I'm sure they will find ways to jailbreak the bike for customization purposes. I'm eagerly looking forward to those advancements, especially for my Losi Pro Moto project. It's an exciting time to be exploring and enhancing this technology!

I HAD THE DX5RUGGED AND THE DX5C. I SOLD THEM BOTH AND GOT THE FLYSKY AND RADIO LINK SETS. SO MUCH EASIER TO USE! THE RECEIVERS COME WITH GYRO AT $20 AND WORK RIGHT WITHOUT ADJUSTMENT. WHERE THE COMPATIBLE SPEKTRUM RECEIVERS WITH GYRO ARE $60 AND TOOK TONS OF ADJUSTMENT. I LOST ABOUT $200 SELLING MY 2 SPEKTRUM RADIOS AND ALL THE RECEIVERS BUT, I GOT TWO RADIOS AND TWICE THE RECEIVERS FOR THE MONEY I GOT OUT OF THEM. IF I HAD JUST GOTTEN THE FLYSKY AND RADIOLINK, OR 2 OF EACH, I WOULD HAVE 4 TIMES THE RECEIVERS FOR THE SAME MONEY.

Our NX series plane txs use that same scroll wheel. WE hate it! It wears out FAST, ('se' versions are bearing'd, but still wear fast with normal use). Don't get me started on the stupidly overpriced iX20se!!! No scroll wheel, custom prompts, but 2 g's is stupid!
