Barcrest Frenzy £15 Fruit Machine Fixed

- This was bought as a spares and repairs but worked with an issue. When I got it the speaker was disconnected, I plugged it in and got a pretty horrible loud noise from the machine. Luckily we are fully working again after a bit of recapping on the power supply and the machine is back alive and happy.

I was playing a £100 version of Oh Ah Dracula in the pub last night. £50 lost. Four mega deals, mystery wins gave £2, £2, £5 and £2. Might as well have burnt the money. Whatever happened to amusement (with prizes). Barcrest used to have the fairest games ever.
AWP died an awful long time ago pal, that's the sad truth of the last few years of the amusement industry as a whole.

Hi. I have a QPS pacman fruit machine and it works fine on free play (with the door open) and all the self tests show all ok but when I shut the door and after it has initialised it shows ON/OFF ALM 48. I've replaced the power supply and Scorpion 4 main board and it's still the same. I've left it alarming for an hour and it won't reset. If you have any ideas please I'd be most grateful. Thank you.
On off alarm is a dil switch that is turned on, that alarm should go off after 30 seconds or so. I'd try flicking all the dil switches to the off position when off and try booting.

@@JamesHardyFruitMachines Amazing price mate. Talking 20+ years ago now, I paid £90 for a Hit The Top (Barcrest Grab the Bank clone - I think) so yeah gonna pull out all the stops to try and make it happen, be nice for an Xmas pressie to myself lol :p

@@JamesHardyFruitMachines Cluedo is a great machine, same ballpark as Great Escape. like you say can’t go wrong with the MPU5 my spice is right has never let me down in 12 years still a great machine. Cheers

@@JamesHardyFruitMachines £5 10p play mate, know it’s better on £15 but haven’t got the decals, but great machine either way bud. Cost me £57 from Guildford in 2010 not one issue in the whole time. And there was a couple of quid still in it😀

I think any program 1.0 and later doesn't work for the knockbacks. 0.3 definitely works.
This is 1.0 mate and defo doesn't. I cba searching for the doable rom set for Frenzy. I know you have beast. Plus I had a quick look online and only 2x rom sets available for it.
Send me the Rom set you are running on the emulator, everything I have found online is 1.0
@@JamesHardyFruitMachines The program in my video is 0.2 but it's a data p1 rom. Not sure if you can get it working but I sent it anyway. Also I sent you the 0.3 roms which includes the standard p1 rom and the knockback trick should still work.
@@whatwhatwhat8908 I have to burn the 0.3s because data port error in door shut mode, probably a bypass somehow but not going to mess with the machine. 0.3s getting burned so lets see.

Is 200 quid a going rate for something like this that’s insane lol before all this retro hype that would be worth about 30 quid
A standard MPU 5 working updated about £125-£150 a decent one anything up to about £250. Prior to loads getting bought up some retros fetch upto about £1k and really sort after games £1k to £3k which is very top end. All depends on condition too and whether originals or rebuilds. A updated good nick Beast or Frenzy ball park 250 top end. I only ever buy broken due to the well known fact I'm far too tight to pay the going rate. If however I let anything go its perfect.
