Keep in mind ! Use 5/8 crushed gravel for BETTER drainage then compact sub grade. Drainage is everything with concrete products. You want all the water that lands on those pavers to be able to drain properly. After that use all purpose sand underneath the paver for leveling. Then lay pavers in use paver joint sand that is just a tad finer that regular joint sand in between the joints or you can use a polymeric sand without a concrete additive that works too. Use a snap edge material to hold in place the pavers, concrete won’t work for long. Using Snap Edge will give you security that will last longer. Other than that nice video. But remember home owner drainage drainage drainage! Also when laying paver joint sand a good rule of thumb is to start from one end to the other **SWEEP THROUGHLY throughout your whole paver area if not you will end up with residue on top of your pavers that won’t come off.
You know you're getting old when you star watching these kind of videos.....and I like it.
This is sweet!! I'm starting to understand my dad more and more....
I love this one, been watching how to vids for patio paving diy and this one was extremely helpful, so thank you very much!
I've been watching A TON of paver patio videos and found this to be extremely helpful and to the point. Thank you!!
You should check out "This Old House" then! They have a ton of useful videos as well. PBS Sponsored as well.
Huge transformation. Looks great, and so do you.
After watching this video I went to the Home Depot website for research on this project and saw photos of you laying pavers and spraying the sand from this video. This is an excellent tutorial, Mr Build It. Thank you!
Damn dude, I was really overwhelmed by the thought of doing this but you made it easy less intimidating. Thanks!
I am DEFINITELY going to be doing this to my backyard when I purchase my home in the summer time
Great Job!! I just noticed this video is about a year old. With some planters, and redoing your landscape, with a water fountain, you could easily fall asleep on a hard working day. Don't forget your solar lights!! Thanks for this video!.
Sweet look great work I am thinking of doing this for my mother thanks for the video
Looked like an awesome project thanks for sharing!
Liked and shared to my handy man of a father. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Your editing skills are top notch and I love the finished build. Keep up the great work!!
Oh awesome. Thanks so much for the encouragement.
Is your father a handyman or is he a "handy man of a father". Like a DIY dad who improvises diapers and discipline devices?
Thank you very much.
Love how CZcams makes everything look super easy 🙄
Rumor has it Mr. Build It remodels strangers homes while they're away at work.
If that's the case maybe I'll drop my address....
@@Icu.0 Don't quote me, but I'd say this is probably about $3K.

A patio reflects the mindset of the people who commissioned it and yours looks great.
Thank you
We love it.Great job/vid.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Joseph. That huge tree and Shade really make this place
You did a great job by yourself.
Thanks you MR. Build It very informative video, again thanks you for sharing
Very nice!
Look amazing!
Thanks so much.
It would really help to see a projected cost estimate on these types of builds.
I put a patio in around the same size without the pillars and bench. You can expect to see around $800 to $1000 dependant on other landscaping
Alex Baraniak please also upload all tools and supply under details. It help a lot. Thank you
Dat Hoang he described whey tools needed. I would purchase materials from local landscaping business or menards or Home Depot
Alex Baraniak I was wonder where do ppl throw away their grass or dirt that no longer needed?
So cheapest pavers are about $2.50 per sq feet. Then you need road base & paver base sand (About $200 + delivery). About 5 different kind of hand tools - $200. Polymerics Sand - about $100. We rented a mini excavator from Home Depot about $1100 (for a week - we're doing about 1500 sq feet) & a plate compactor - $100/day.. Hope this helps
Awesome job man.

😀
Cool project bro
Oh you so good dude and now I learned too so thanks a bunch
Hey. Thanks for watching
what a great idea..gracias..
Absolutely. Enjoy
Did something similar in the yard this past summer, the only thing I’d recommend, is adding some sort of removable backing to rest back. I had left it out of my original build but quickly added it once the kids kept leaning back and hitting the fence/wall and got too many “ouchies” 😂😂 awesome channel man! I just spent the last 2 hours watching videos, for sure one of my favorite diy home build channels! Impressive work. Like myself, no professional training or background. If I see something. I figure a way to build
Nice work. I have been watching around for ideas to start this project as a DIY next Summer. I like the fire pit idea but couldn't help but notice there wasn't any vents to allow air into the pit. I'm sure it's not a requirement to have but IMO makes for a better fire. Again, good job.
