- On May 27th, 2011 Natty Light officially became The First Beer In Space. Check it out in this video! For more on Natural Light beer visit: www.naturallight.com
Two of Natty Lights Facebook fans, Danny and Rich, came to us with an epic idea to make Natty the first beer in space. We said go for it, just let us know when ya shoot it off! Natty Light helped make their dream a reality, by offering to support their efforts on Natty's Facebook page. The spacecraft was named the Aluminum Fullcan by Natty's Facebook Fans (submitted by Kel Thomas).
Natty Light First Beer In Space: The Plan (video)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2W1En...
The spacecraft was launched via weather balloon. The ascent took about 2hrs rising to an altitude of 90,000ft+. The Aluminum Fullcan spacecraft landed 60 miles from the launch site and took Danny and Rich 2hrs to locate by gps (due to the rural area of the landing that offered poor reception). The event was a complete success and Natty Light officially became The First Beer In Space (edge of space)...what we like to call the Nattmosphere!
The spacecraft was composed of a styrofoam cooler carrying the first beer (full beer) in space on board, a gps tracking device, an HD video camera pointed at another (empty) can on the outside of the ship (It's the can you see in frame).
Got an epic idea for Natty? Post it on the wall. If we like it, who knows maybe we'll make your next Natty adventure a reality! / nattylight
Special Thanks from Natty Nation goes out to Danny B. and Rich T. you dudes are awesome!!
(For Clarification: This event took place on May 27th, with clearance and approval from the FAA. The documented footage was posted on-line November 18th)

This is probabably the coolest beer (literally and figuratively) to ever go in to space.
Imagine if someone said "I need a beer" while holding out their hand, and then this beer can fell right into his hand xD
I'd be disappointed that it's a natty
@@RedVRCC id be in heaven its a nattie
But there is nothing in it it’s empty
@@RedVRCC Clearly you haven’t indulged in Natty Daddy
@@leahcimolrac1477fuck that shit man we aren’t in our twenties anymore. Slow and steady wins the race.
i really hope an alien finds this and drinks it.
then he'd be like 'eww. what a shitty frat house beer'
you mean a demon will drink it
william seymour-jones You'd be suprised. Look up ip alien on youtube
Cheap af, does the same thing all the others do. I’ll take it.
@@MyloXyloto94 exactly bro, literally no rational need to spend more
Guy walks into a bar and asks "What's the cheapest thing here?"
Barmaid: "Well, at the present time, that would be YOU!"
"What up aliens! We brought the beer, where the party at?"
That is hilarious.
The aliens will be impressed at first. And they will try any other beer on the planet.
i guess it is kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good site to stream new tv shows online?
@Christopher Lukas lately I have been using flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Christopher Lukas I use Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
@Fox Everett yea, been watching on Flixzone for months myself :)
@Fox Everett thanks, I signed up and it seems to work =) I appreciate it!
One big step for this beer, one giant ad for Natural light
The switch from Blue sky to black is magical.
Epic Idea for Natty, make a beer with a selling point other than being really cheap.
I fucking love this beer, was my first beer ever
@Jay Rock AK, its $3 for a four pack of 16 oz cans where I live.
@Jay Rock AK 13.00 for a 18 rack in Jefferson county, CO where I live 😅..
@@Shinuchiha_999 bucks for a 15 pack at my Local grocery store. My favorite next to Busch light.
Love the spaceship name! Aluminum Fullcan!
Comments:
25% - it's not beer!
25% - it's not space!
49% - the Earth is flat!

I love how really scientific this is
Put that kind of music to ANYTHING going to space and Ill want to cry. I need a beer...
*Sees UFO in background*
" Nasa: You wasn't supposed to see that "
Really great work guys, seriously A+ material.
A beer cooler and weather balloon, I wonder how cheap that was to debunk flat earthers.
Debunked the, still, flat Earth?
How so? By using curved lenses, for some dopey reason, like most of the footage we see? Right. That's because without the false curvature created by certain cameras (GoPro) the footage will ALWAYS reveal a FLAT EARTH with ZERO STARS, because it's above the Firmament of a CREATED WORLD. SEE: Felix Baumgartner's record-breaking jump from INSIDE his capsule just as he opens the door - outside is the horizon at eye-level and STRAIGHTacross the doorway. From that height, you wouldn't see THAT if Earth was a sphere!
@@squidcat11 what's it like being a delusional sociopath?
@@Dangerpurple Lol Squidcat a Dumbass
@@squidcat11 so you're a flat earther lmao
I don't know about everyone else,, but i really feel like having a Natural Light, right about now.
Cool video
Did I hear beer and Space exploration in same sentence. I think I did. What else man needs :)
Who drank it?
Aliens?
1:36 for the chemtrails high high above the normal clouds
Drinking some natty as I watch this. Makes me wanna launch the thing into the stratosphere.
Must be some GREAT beer if it goes past "Cloud 9" into the stratosphere?! Must be one hell of an buzz!
BEER AND FLAT EARTH
Nice pic 😂
but did it flash freeze the beer?
That was badass!!! Thanks for uploading it!! :D
they say put beer in refrigerators?
Space: go time
*opens it* TACTICAL NUKE INCOMING
Yasszss
flat horizon
OMG! The Earth is GIGANT!
Lol
the proof is out there
when it went to space i ot the chills i get the chills when ppl talk about space and the bottom of the ocean UGHHH
you send that beer across the ocean, in an unmanned boat,
so it´ll be the first beer can to go over the ocean by itself
Ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking if you please look out the right side window of the aircraft you'll see floating natty light beer making its journey into space.
wow...the first beer in space...congrats natural light!
that's one of the best things I've seen in a long time!!
Beer put in orbit. You know, in case visitors need a frosty one. :P
loving the captions :D
That can belongs in a museum of awesomeness
It's a nice metaphor that relates to the process of getting drunk. We get worked up to an awesome state, but then we fall down and get whacked with a hang over a few hours later.
now all we need is somone to brew beer in space. Mmm space beer *drools*
This beer gets me feeling good
Great. Now were gonna have drunk-ass transforming robots all over the flippin place lookin for more beer.
The horizon is always eye-level and straight. What can we deduce from that?
A flat earther? Nice. Except for the fact that the ISS can see the earth 24/7 and You can go due east perfectly and come back to where you started. The earth is a sphere. Not a disk good sir. or is it that you're calling this fake due to that? The Horizon keeps getting further and further until the curvature of earth itself is visible. the further you are in the air, the further the horizon in your perspective goes. but as long as you're relatively close to the planet, it appears to be at the same place. If the earth were flat, like you seem to believe (i checked you channel) You'd be able to see everything in the world, mountains and all tall structures above 300 meter in length man made or natural. But you don't because they're behind the curvature of the earth relative to you and the rest of the planet. not to mention if you sent a boat sailing into the horizon, you'd be able to see the boat go past it first the hull, and last the sail itself.
I don't really care it's not actually in space, it looks pretty awesome sending things up on a balloon and watching the freefall after it pops. I could just imagine the hissyfit the UK's CAA would have if you wanted to do this. I guess the airspace over the UK is just too crowded.
They should call that beer "Love In A Canoe" 'cause it's fucking close to water.
hehe nothink better than one cold fresh Beer falling from the sky :)
I have an idea: Use at least two balloon, one with a bit less helium in it, so when the bigger one pups up, the smaller one still has some time to go higher.
This was an awesome video.
That moment where you accidently dropped your phone into the cooler and didnt notice
NATTY DADDY COULDN'T BE PROUDER😃THATS MY BOY🚀
Hate all u want but Natty won 3rd place at the World Beer Cup in 2008 in the light beer category.
Just because you put it in space doesn't mean your beer tastes any less shitty.
I would have chugged that beer! just so I could say that I was the first person in recorded history that drank the first beer that was in space. thats something for the grandchildren.
I'm not a physicist, but I'd say since the pressure in the upper atmosphere is much less than on the surface of Earth, the air in the balloon expands as it rises in altitude thus causing the balloon material to stretch until it reaches its elastic limit and ruptures, causing the explosion. It's basically the same as over-inflating a balloon here on the surface.
So...who got to drink the space beer.Lol.because I want space beer.
nothing like having a cold beer while looking at the earth
they should make this a commercial!!! It's epic especialy the end!!
Huge missed opportunity to end this video by cracking open the beer
to boldly go where no beer has gone before !
I love Natties and this video is just flat-out funny!
I have an awesome way idea you need take teddy bear to go space and tell aliens i love you!
Space - when your beer gets warm - freeze it the awesome way xD
Going where no beer has ever gone before
Awesome video. Should have sent some malt liquor. Lol thumbs up!
Great vid. You guys are awesome.
Next Time, Fly A Beer BOTTLE Into Space. Let's See Som Dat Action
I dont want a beet spacecraft flying through my roof
i really want to drink that beer for some reason lol.
Oui ❤ WE LOVE NATURAL LIGHT
the center of gravity was distanced far enough from the cooler's center of aerodynamic pressure that the rig remained pretty much upright throughout the whole thing. How bout that, the first beer in space. that's pretty cool.
Would be interesting to try it with a full can to see at what altitude the can would explode due to the pressure differential.
Most excellent adventure for Natty.
Using that logic, we all go to space every time the sun goes down.
Can you imagine flying by in a commercial jet looking out your window at a flying beer can!
That was AWESOME!!!
Next idea: First beer on the moon ;P Good luck
Space or not, this was cool as shit to watch! Thanks guys for the entertainment, it was different!
- The effects of drinking, you get up high and then spin all the way back down again. the resemblance is uncanny
So majestic
a shuttle or a rocket:burns when entering the atmosphere
a ipad, beer, burger, donut, etc:doesn't burn when entering the atmosphere
If we want to be friends with aliens, we need to send some good beer up there.
the way of advertising a beer..genius men, genius
Florida man would be proud.

The first alien beer. Nice idea;)
they should have taken a drink of the beer after it landed - SOLD
A chilled space beer, altitude shaken, and pressure carbonate, what else could he ask for
Before we got Troposhere 20km then Stratosphere to 50km... now a new one is born, Alcohosphere at 27km.
Buy this beer at your own risk. If you don't like it, you are stuck with it because Anheuser Bush does not issue replacement coupons like most companies. To me, it's too watery.
Such a touching video
What a time to be alive
what's up LeoelBlader? The balloon explodes b/c of the atmospheric pressure change that happens at elevation. The ballon was about 10ft across at take off - and about 18ft diameter when it finally popped around 90k ft. They sell different balloons that will pop at different elevations.
Natural light still hasn't actually sent their beer to space. 100K feet is still well short of the 100 Kilometer marker.
you might want to wait a little before you open that beer HAHAHA
and then don't complain later when E.T. comes back drunk shooting lasers at us XD
Your profile picture makes it all the more hilarious...
That beer got to go where I have always wanted to go, and won't.
I'm jealous.
peace
Bet you that beer must be pretty cold & good to drink lol
The edge of Space is 100km up. Seeing that the current flight altitude record for balloons is just under 39km, this beer obviously didn't even make it half way to Space. You can call it the first beer in the Stratosphere, but you'd be a fool to call it the first beer in Space.
And then man said, "let there be piss-in-a-can in space"
