Can you do a video about the differences between pocket, open pocket, slots, and open profile?

How do you stop a roughing cycle from cutting the top of a feature? I’ve already faced my part off, but the roughing cycle has its own built in facing operation. I’ve been using the avoid feature on some bosses that are tiny, like 0.4mm, that I don’t want the cutter to touch in Z. There has to be a better way.

Great stuff! Thank you so much for uploading this! Question: I know you said in Solidworks CAM Pro you can, but what about using Camworks 2021 within an assembly? I rarely use CAM on individual part files because I often machine different parts at the same time on the same table. Thanks!

SOLIDWORKS CAM Standard and Pro are the base levels of CAM software, with only Pro allowing the programming of assemblies. All CAMWorks packages are more advanced, allowing more capabilities, including assembly machining and more.
