I have never seen El Alto from the air in daylight. Every time I fly to La Paz, I arrive at like, 3:30 am.

I have always wondered if pple who've stayed long enough in La Paz feel shooted by oxygen excess when they reach a "usual" altitude. For instance when they land in an airport having at "normal" altitude. ?

Yes, she definitely said be careful. But I don´t know the reason:)
The altitude is not that serious. I lived in La Paz 1.5 years and yes - while you can definitely feel the thinness of the air especially when climbing even a small set of stairs - she was only warning that you “be careful” opening the overhead compartments “as items may have shifted during flight.”

El aeropuerto queda en El Alto, que está la puna, región geográfica/climática donde los árboles no crecen... ya una vez que bajas a La Paz puedes ver árboles y parques
A media hora de la paz esta los yungas zoma sub tropical de lapaz ahí encontrarás los árboles que quieras. Saludos

@@groovy80s78 what a coincidence! I've ended up here after some days thinking about my youth in La Paz. I have some very fond memories from Bolivia and met some really amazing people. I would even say that the friends I met there wouldn't find anywhere else in the world. Upon seeing this I've felt quite a nostalgia. It has been a long time ago, 1999 to 2002, but I still remember my friends and colleagues and the whole city very vividly.
