Did everyone just forget about the No Hit call on the Saints. Literally stopped the Saints from going to the superbowl. The league has got to do something about these refs man.
To be fair…. The saints won a Super Bowl because the Vikes with Favre and a prime AP got screwed. … by the saints and the refs. I ain’t trying to hear it!
But seriously… these refs are out of control!
I will never forget that BS. As a Dallas fan that had no horse in the race that was a tragedy!
I freaking loved that call. - A Panthers Fan.
@@BabyCowNFlashstill the most egregious example of dirty hits and a dozen no calls to ensure the Saints went to the Super Bowl.
I can't fathom how a multi-billion dollar organization like the NFL doesn't have full time refs yet.
They make 205k/year on average... what exactly do they need to do to be considered full time? They making a lot for not much
"Full Time" pertains refs committing everything to bettering themselves vs just being a part time gig. -Bill
@@RsChrisGbecause they aren't. If multiple former NFL players are saying they aren't full time then I don't need to look into it to hear more. I don't think Pat has been screaming about this for ....1 or 2 years if he was just trying to get ratings or to hurt the NFL. There are critical elements missing apparently that they need to put into place. Perhaps some are, but I know he's said there are many refs on the field that have other jobs outside of the NFL. If I was making 200k a year I wouldn't be looking for another job.
Probably because they work 17 days a year…
I know but considering the job, what exactly are they going to be able to do to become "full time"? Go to classes 5 days a week in the offseason? like what does that even mean for a ref. @@busterdog321
The NFL can admit every week they screwed over a team or a player. It's the NFL thing.
For reals
NFL talks a lot but no action. They penalize the players but not the refs.
Yup, these refs seem like the replacements when the original refs went on strike
Then they would have to deal with the refs union and spend a few hundred million dollars then they'd like. They know the fans aren't going anywhere and the players aren't going anywhere.
Why do you think you can’t challenge the last 2 mins. It’s so you can’t stop them from screwing you at the end of the game it’s also why you can’t challenge penalties and you really think the nfl has nothing to do with these shaft jobs, cmon.
Legal betting makes us question the motives behind every terrible call and there’s a lot of them this year. Money ruining everything.
So they admit they’re wrong but we still just have to accept the wrong calls tho right? Smh 🤦♂️
Move on 😂
What they supposed to do the clock at zero and they no guarantee often times that missed call or bad call changed things, how do you prove that?
How you prove that a certain call would of resulted in different outcome? I don't think it's possible in most cases.
Sadly yes and Irsay bringing this public is against NFL rules so I’m sure he’ll be fined which is ridiculous. It shows that the league isn’t about accountability.
Of course we have to accept the results. So do the gamblers that got robbed by the refs. Lots of money being wagered without a lot of oversight it seems. I think there is a good chance refs are working for bookies or themselves.
Not just the Colts, Refs screwed the Dolphins in Philly also. Miami 10 penalties, Philly 0 penalties. And ive seen atleast face mask, holding, pass interference several times on my TV and not one penalty for Philly? Game was rigged.
The only one I might give you is the face mask, which even then it looked like the WR slipped when he tried to stop, and wouldn't have been able to make it back to the ball anyways.
As far as holding and Pass Interference, which have a lot of grey area when being examined, you can't tell me Miami's Offensive Line wasn't holding every down with like 3 backups in, and our pro bowl calibur pass rushers.
And the 10-0 is skewed bc Miami had a ton of pre-snap penalties, which can't be argued and kills drives.
Every team is gonna vote for this except the chiefs and eagles 😭
The Chiefs eh? One of the most penalized teams in the league? Sounds about right.
@@Nathan-fp7bbhow many game changing penalties have they gotten to win a game this year? Atleast 2.

Is there a team called lions in the nfl? 😂😂😂
I love that they're saying out loud what everyone is thinking. Definitely some chicanery going on.
Only reason pat is even talking about it is because its his team
When the nfl allows betting expect the refs to cheat
Bump
Does no one remember when they made passer interference reviewable because the Saints complained about it??? The League then put it in place for a year and then got rid of it because it "slowed the game down"
remember how important it was that some footballs were underweight
and the nfl was gonna make sure all game balls were of legal weight
and how they were gonna share that information
and then none of that happened
...but they still have time for a commercial break every 8 minutes. lol unreal
The pass interference call was nonsense, but we shouldnt even be talking about that play. The prior play was ruled a fumble. There were no flags. The refs went to review to see if it was a fumble or incomplete pass. The refs came out of review, after at least 60 seconds, when they decided to add a penalty. The refs went back into review... what were they reviewing? The refs came back out of review to double down on their corrupt call.
Save it. Do you know how many times the NFL have stated that refs screwed up after the fact? The fact that Irsay said it this time changes nothing.
And why are we listening to Jim airway anyway? Dude is certifiably nuts 😂
Right. The Browns have a whole damn mail box full of apology letters over the years.
this was one of the most clear riggings i've ever seen! im sure the NFL made a bunch of money from Vegas on this one lol
Those gooood ol Ohio folk deserve it after years of bad calls.
Yeah but someone can force deshaun to retire first maybe
They called Amari Cooper out of bounds on a catch he made against the Titans where he ran for a touchdown. The Browns had to take the call even though the replay clearly showed Cooper didn't step no where near out of bounds.

Can't really say that about San Fran, they just lost 2 in a row. One of those to the aforementioned Browns.
What a stupid comment. I guess you forgot that the Chiefs have Taylor? Nobody's trying to help an actual threat to KC reach the Super Bowl.
Dolphins screwed themselves put of the win, the only obvious call they missed the next play was a pick 6 and if they call that who knows if y’all even score a td, dolphins were offsides all game, 31-17 and Eagles were inside the redzone when they kneeled, dolphins weren’t winning that game anyways
pat was real quiet when the rams super bowl was rigged but so mad abt this
I wish there were some talks like this going on in the NCAA too. There has been plenty of horrible officiating in college ball too
Thank you, Jim
As i browns fan i know we shouldnt have won that game, but if you watch the browns every week youll know that we get screwed by the refs all the time in game altering ways
Not since we got the rapist wannabe. NFL loves bending towards the owners that harbor predators. Its so crazy how the NFL completely fucked us out of going to the afc champ game, but we switch from Baker to Groper Cleveland and now they’re giving us free games to keep us in contention
Yep like against chiefs in playoffs that flag came out like it always does for maholmes
Nah still could have won if officiating was perfect. They missed a few clear holds and a facemask by the Colts as well. Full time refs AND in addition to Irsay’s suggestion, the review booth should be shown live like they do in the XFL.
As a Colts fan, it's not just for that bad call on the Colts! It's for all the NFL teams out there that we love to watch when play, especially a close game. I hate to see any teams lose because of the reffs making bad calls, so i agree with irsay. Reff should review any penalty in the last 2 minutes of the game.
The refs didn't lose that game. The Colts did. If you need to rely on referees to hold a win for you, then you can't complain when they don't do it.
If you don't want to get called for PI, don't grab the receiver while they're going up for a catch. Doesn't matter where the ball is. You won't get called for interfering if you don't interfere.
Oh, a great suggestion. Something else to slow down the game.
@B3Band how about WR stiff arm the corner? That's exactly what happened one of those PI.
@@B3Bandlmao, at least i hope u feel better with the garbage browns team

I love how the Browns have been screwed by terrible calls numerous times over the years and it was always "Don't let the game be in the hands of a bad call". Now the Browns get a couple calls and everything has to be reviewable lol
It’s an accumulation thing. The browns calls are part of all the calls in the accumulation. Just because the Browns got screwed before and nothing happened doesn’t mean it’s not still an issue now in something that needs to be addressed. What you’re saying just makes the point even more valid. 🤷🏻♂️
You're not a fan of honest officiating. How sad.
Just because some blatant rule-breaking dishonest calls were made, doesn't mean more dishonest calls makes thing right...

Spot on with ref criticism 👍
Fans of other teams who got screwed by refs are told you can’t let it come down to that.
Browns fans have been told this for years as well. The couple calls we've gotten recently have been an extremely tiny exception compared to how we normally get screwed over.
@@kelliea4213 ya I know it well I’m a lions fan but also root for the browns when we don’t play each other.
Something bad teams say.. but not the top quartile Colts
I do often take the stance of saying you can't blame your loss on one bad call or one bad play. Yeah the Colts had 4 turnovers and that definitely hurt them. But at the time when those 2 calls happened in a row, they were still leading the game, and scored over 30 points so it's not like they were missing opportunities to score. They made like 8 red zone stops on that drive and the refs kept bailing out the Browns. In a 7-10 game I would definitely agree that you can't blame the L on one bad call. Plus, this convo hasn't really been about winning or losing, it's about 2 bs calls in a row that almost definitely had an agenda behind them.
@@YotaRolla199E the point is it’s happened to everyone and some teams a lot more than others pat only cares because it was the colts
I have an idea and I’d love to hear people’s thoughts.
What do you think about slowly transitioning out the current refs and employing (full time) refs that are either former NFL players or guys that just weren’t quite good enough to get drafted?
I imagine there are SO many ex players who will do anything to stay attached to the game and the camaraderie.
It’s my opinion that these guys who know the thought process of “the boys” would make better judgement calls in close situations because they understand how the players who are actually playing feel. They understand what they are seeing and the nuances within.
It’s the same thing that’s done with analysts, the best ones are all former players…and that’s a far less important job.
I disagree ex players are like ex military becoming law enforcement

Thank for staying on this Pat! Officiating needs reformed. Especially with sports betting now we need controls in place.
I bet the NFL didnt want Jim Irsay tweeting this. I wonder if they will fine him.
Rugby refs have a hot mic the entire game. They are telling you what is going on, and why. Part of it is to give clear rulings and orders to the players so that play is continuous and limits stoppage. That the fans can hear the ref the entire match, really makes you trust them. Like the hockey refs, they are part of the action.
Interesting
Yes! I know football fans aren't the most familiar with rugby, but it is the absolute gold standard for reffing. They're mic'd up, they explain the rulings to the captain as they happen, and when they aren't sure about something they immediately call for a video review with no ego involved. And the result is that they have the respect of the players and the fans. I'm sure they still make errors, but every NFL fan should go watch some rugby clips and tell me that's not how things should work over here.
As I commented on the first video about this, I'll repeat, As a Brown's and Cowboys fan (don't judge me I'm from Ohio but when I was a little guy falling in love with football trying to find his team, Art Modell was moving the Brown's to Baltimore) 😂...I agree with Pat...this was BS...thanks for saying the awfficals names...thats needed, but we also need to consider reviewing penalties...and that TD to Dez against GB was a catch!!!

Same drive, 2 block in the backs against KC as well. We all picked on the low hanging fruit of ppl calling this a script but the nfl should of just said something about getting better. Pat didn't give af but now his precious colts suffered a similar fate during the regular season and you expect everyone to be on board?? Miss Me with that crap.
Exactly.
I’ve never understood how coaches are allowed to challenge the refs on what they think they see regarding standard play judgements (ball placement, catch/no catch, stepped out of bounds, etc), but they can’t challenge the refs on what they think they see when a flag is thrown.
A strange thing for sure.
because penalties are more subjective than ball placement. A ref is more likely to double down than admit they made a bad call. The league introduced challengeable pass interference calls in 2019 and it only had a 16% success rate. They scrapped it the following year.
because they could call a penalty on every play if they wanted to
there is holding by someone on every play
The Dayton Triangles are the heroes of the NFL. Thank you for playing hard now just 117 miles to the west of their origin.
Nfl is really making me upset man. I Don’t wanna stop watching the fins but if the refs continue like this I’ll have to listen to the hunch that I have that half these games are fixed.

Penalty review under 2 mins is a good idea
I'm so sick of receivers getting away with everything db's are getting flagged for, often simultaneously.
Remember the 1995 AFC Championship Game?
Steelers went to the Super Bowl and Indy got a letter of apology.
The league wanted a Pitt./Dallas Super Bowl.
History repeats itself.
The other team gets the win while the Colts get an apology letter, suitable for framing...
Suitable for framing, because it was a frame job.
Electronic sensors to establish football position on the field is doable.
Glad it finally happened to the Colts so Jim Irsay actually cares
Belichick said this years ago.
And it's good you're self aware enough to have an inkling about what people outside Indianapolis think about Irsay. It's worse than you think.
Nah no need to rush AR’s return. Let him heal completely.
Did Pat spend this much time going over the missed pass interference call that cost the Ravens a win? No? Didn’t think so
The difference was this game was literally over if they don’t make that terrible call. Colts had a forced fumble on the play and recovered the ball.
In the Ravens game, they still needed to get another 10-15 yards to get it comfortable field goal range, not to mention Tucker already had missed the game winning FG already, so him making the kick wasn’t necessarily a guarantee.
Two different things.
Where’s all the people who said to stop whining about the refs and how the calls were fair ? 😂
With how far the world's developed technologically, why the hell are we still having officials making calls on the field? Why not have them watch from cameras in a booth? Why not use some sort of tracker on the ball to determine where exactly the ball is down? Feels like so many officiating errors could be solved if the NFL started making use of the technological age.
Literally the worst idea no oversight on giant gambling.
Final 2 minutes before the half and final 5 minutes before the end. And all in OT.
I love how everyone wants to point at those calls at the end, but conveniently ignore all the holding calls where O-line is taking turns getting piggy back rides from Myles Garrett. You don’t get to complain about the bad calls in one area without admitting the bad calls in the other parts of the game.
Yeah, I think holding and pass interference calls both suffer from a case of "ref isn't gonna throw a flag every down" kinda thing, so O Line and DBs do it all the time and just hope it doesnt get called.
If there going to screw up calls I really wish they would lean more towards letting them play.
I watched the Jim Irsay band recently and I’m ngl they sound good.
Funny thang , I got one of those stupid tvs so I can break it down frame by frame , just in case I missed something .
Before they start adding reviews, they need to fix the review system. Can you imagine if there’s 3 or 4 penalties in the last 2 minutes of a game that each take 5-8 minutes cause the review system is atrocious?
They need to extend it to the final four minutes not just two.
This league is worth OVER 100 million dollars... Yet, the people that are judge, jury, AND EXECUTIONER, is a part time worker... lmfffaaaooo 😂🤦♂️🤡
We need more than just 2 minutes. You could lose a game early due to holding and PIs. Free first downs go a long way against the top teams. I believe should be 3 challenges plus 1 if all 3 are right and penalties/missed calls should be included
How about instant replays for all calls in general not just in the final 2 minutes
That would make the game way too slow. The last two minutes is what is best
How about we just give each team a TD every possession too
Yeah, games would be too long but add penalties to 2 minutes and also allow the use of the two challenge flags during the rest of the game.
