Everything you said - literally - is what I felt watching the choreo for the first time. This is my favourite kpop choreo of this year so far, it's so good, not predecitable. They look so effortless but I've learned the choreo and it's super hard and fast, like really I wish I could dance like them... especially that one guy...

I know you didn't realize, but this is a solo song by B.I., he's the one in the colored hoodie. That's why he's the only one wearing color and the dancers are all wearing black. I'm sure you know that choreographing a solo song is much different than choreographing for a song with multiple members. The reason for formations in group songs is because the person who is singing is always switching, so they gotta rotate and give the spotlight in the choreo to each member when their part comes up. In a solo song, you don't gotta do that, hence there's no need for formations. B.I let the dancers have the spotlight in many parts of this choreo, since there's a few verses without him dancing in it. But it's also so it's not as exhausting for himself and he has time to rest, since he's the one who has to sing at the same time when performing. Dance practices are basically how they will perform the song on stage. The original song doesn't feature Soulja Boy, I prefer the original version of the song.
