There is much traditional error about the last week of Christ’s life. It was Monday night when he was taken from Gethsemane, after which he was tortured and interrogated non-stop until Wednesday morning. He was crucified at 9 A.M. and died at 3 P.M. He was buried before sunset and rose from the dead on Saturday afternoon between 3 P.M. and sunset.

Jesus rose on Saturday as Book of acts points out it was the third day. If you say he rose on Sunday that would make it the fourth night on the counting.
