Joy I am soooo glad you are realizing young that messes don't matter as much as a clean house. Messes and filth are two different things and messes are okay. I didn't learn that until I was much older! I wish I would have enjoyed my 1st two kids and their messes as much as I did my 3rd child who came much later and now my grandkids. Enjoy every moment with them because it truly does go too fast.
I have MTHFR too. But I only have one set. My youngest girl came at 28weeks. She is now 14. We have now realized that the MTHFR could have been the issue. A nurse practitioner ordered a genetic test about 5 years ago. She gave me a printout of what MTHFR was and what meds would work best. Knowing that I had it allowed me to not use Folic Acid(Man made stuff) and instead focus on L-Methylfolate (God made stuff). Shortly after I found out I had it, Erin Bates revealed she had it. And many of the Bates girls have it. I am so happy Joy figured this out and prayerfully will have a successful delivery 🙏
My husband passed away when my kids were 4 and 8. I used to make a big turkey dinner up until that point. I started to put a roast with carrots and onions in the crockpot and let it go. That way we opened presents and I was able to play with them without worrying about a meal. Merry Christmas!

It gives long term skills that don’t always come later in life. I noticed your daughter looking over and saying “that’s a mess” so obviously she is aware so obviously your teaching her.

I'm watching your older vlog since you're craving potatoes may I share my recipe? Take say 8 potatoes. Wash them up (I use gloves) you want the skins on so scrub them good. Then microwave about 20ish minutes. Allow to cool. Cube them once cool enough to touch. Put olive oil in a skillet, preferably cast iron. Season it with a few shakes of Lowry's seasoned salt. Now add the potatoes. Let them crisp up good before stirring. Try to get a second crisp, stir again. Get a 3rd crisp if possible, stir one last time. Carefully transfer to a plate with paper towels. This is quite a process but they are soooo good. Especially if you get an epic crisp. Lowry's brand seasoned salt is a must, it's got a red lid.
