I'm so glad I got that Update video out of the way. Now I can go back to giving you guys updates in the descriptions that no one reads! Anyway, even though I don't have a WiiU yet, I'm looking forward to this game. People always say "Oh This game is Sonic's Epic return!" They've said that for the last like 3 main Sonic games. Can we all just say "It's just another Sonic game."

All jokes aside, this is still a better plot than the original.
I liked Lost World's story. Sure it wasn't as good as Unleashed or Adventure 2's stories were (If you think those were good), but I could see some effort went into it. It's definitely better than Generations story.
RatchetSprite I agree, with it being better than Generations' story. The dialogue was a lot improved in Lost World in my opinion, sadly it's the best we've seen since Unleashed. But I still don't think the story's too great, Sonic never really had a good story after Sonic Unleashed now that I think about it, that's just my opinion though.

I like how Sonic is more in character in this parody than in the actual game.
Oh my god lol this is hilarious! Most sonic parodies i see on the internet all just make sex jokes, swear all the time and take humour to horrific places (i guess you could say killing the animals was horrific but the way it was delivered made it funny) good job man can't believe it took me so long to find this XD
Oh btw i know there was swearing in it but i think it was used to enhance the humour rather than used as humour if you know what i mean

I guess people expect more from Sonic? When he was first created, I think he was supposed to be Mario but cooler, with cool new levels and physics and controls and ideas...and stuff.
Although I would like the 2D Mario games at least to be more interesting.

Dude, I have been looking forward to this game like in forever! Where Sonic saves the world by teaming up with Tails and Eggman to defeat the Deadly Six, but then defeats Eggman just to keep Amy, Knuckles, and the animals safe.
AnimatedJames draws Sonic and the characters better than me actually...well I'm pretty decent with the Sonic characters, but on hoof, I love Sonic! I always will love Sonic!

You know Sonic barely ever goes to green hill zone for the 1st level... Sonic Unleashed:windmill ile. Sonic colors:Tropical Resort. Sonic and the secret Rings:Sand oasis. Sa1: Emerald Coast. Sa2:City Escape. Sonic advance 1&2 Weren't green hill zone for the 1st level. The last time the 1st level was green hill zone related in a sonic game was sonic generations and that was because they were traveling theough time and it was a 20'th anniversery game...
The first two sonic advance games did use green hill parallels...

While I do hate the idea of even coming close to agreeing with a pentagram, I don't see what's so special about Green Hill. My favorite was Star Light Zone.
This cartoon is filled to the brim with such bland, played out, "Family Guy" comedy.
Um... define "Family Guy" comedy. Because I don't know how much Family Guy you've watched, but they tell ALL KINDS of jokes. So not only is your critique non sensical, but it's not even a criticism at all.

Particularly modern era Family Guy. Humor that comes from the characters stopping to analyze and critique the obviously cartoony situations they're in from a real world perspective.
Whether or not that's a bad thing I can't say, because the show obviously got popular doing those kinds of jokes all the time. I, personally, just don't like it.
JayThwack Well, sorry to say, but that's what most satire is. Also, I do a lot more than just analyze cartoony situations. I add punchlines to the end of them, but clearly your hatred for "Family Guy" type of humor just over-shadowed the punchlines for you. (And for the record, Community does that "Family Guy" humor all the time. And if you don't like Community, then we have nothing left to say to each other.)

I'm sure this cartoon doesn't summarize the entirety of your work. It's just a gripe I had. Though I don't agree the satire boils down to just "calling something out on how stupid it is". A good satire, I believe, usually mocks a subject in a more clever, roundabout way that makes you think rather than just saying "You know what? This thing is dumb."
Also, I've never heard of "Community". I'm very sorry.
JayThwack While a joke might be said differently, every satirical joke is basically saying "Look how dumb this is." And the thing is, most satires don't out right 'say it'. They act it out through a visual gag. Part of the joke here is that you wouldn't expect characters in their own video game to realize how crazy what's going on is and then out-right say it. That, combined with the fact that I am bringing up legitimately good points that make a lot of sense and most people may not have realized until now, I'd say this does count as decent parody. In fact, better parody than you see nowadays.

In Sonic Lost World you get to go through a grass level, a desert level, a Ice level, a beach level, a Cloud level, a mountain level, a volcanic level, and a special level or extra world; sound familiar? Go ahead and compare this to Super Mario Brothers Wii if you want to.

I think the reason he made the Green Hill joke was that he's tired of the exact same thing several times. Green Hill was reused in Sonic Adventure 1 and no one noticed because it wasn't the first level. That and it had more to it than just reusing green grass and checkered walls for level design.

Great video. Like the humor. Though, if you want to amp up the quality for a better experience, you should work on adding very soft and subtle sounds for even simple character movement.

Except with parkour physics. Like when you hit a tree in high speed, you do this little cool move that makes you dubstep right over it and keep going.

0:30 to give them credit, it's not the typical "you think Eggman is the big baddie and then at the very end he is betrayed." I'm actually happy that the only reason why they go against him was because of Sonic early on in the game instead of the usual formula.

Its more of the iconic grassy hill level that comes up a lot in the games.
Don't know if you knew this or not, but according to official plot summaries, the whole "ancient power blows up in Eggman's face and he has to team up with Sonic to stop it from destroying the world" bit actually happens at the beginning this time. Plot twist!
