You can reach it by going in one direction and then staying in the opposite direction for a good moment (for example, going left and then staying on the right side of the screen for a bit). You can see the entrances to the hidden path to the left at 1:03 and to the right at 3:20. It's pretty hard to notice, to be honest.

"Pasi Lameta Vimaturesi" has got to be one of the most puree titles I've ever seen for a song. What even? I don't know what about this stage and the previous that I really like but both are amazing, esp. stage 5. I think it might be partly be because unusual theme for a Touhou game but they also both just feel good. The bosses are also pretty unique, with stage 5's getting really cool on Lunatic.
It's apparently the lyrics of a song from this anime the game referenced a lot? Zone of the Enders or something. The spellcard Last Azoth also seem to reference that. I never watched it, so I can't say for certain

It looks really interesting, that's for sure. Definitely excited for it, but until the demo comes out, there really isn't much more I can think of that I could say aside from that.
One more thing you didn't notice: based on the character you play, Emerald Tablet summons past bosses in different order. For example, Reimu faces Ranran first, then Chii, and Hikariko teams up with Shiran last.
Man, where do I start with this stage? The stage portion is incredibly hard for me on Normal, and even on Easy I tripped at times, regardless of what path I choose. It's still fun to go through though, especially with the quirky 7/8 time signature song with such a rocking tune. Really gives it that Egyptian feel. And Horou herself, I always see her as a stage 1 boss being given final boss powers, aka the Thoth tablet. And she only got this far because of the powers of her friends (I think Shiran is also a friend at this point), so her theme in general gets me quite emotional. When you strip away all the instrumentation and backing melodies other than the main melody, you're left with a gentle 3/4 time signature lullaby, a lovely tune but certainly not boss-worthy. Only when all the instruments kick in that the whole song becomes a grand final boss theme. To me it's an analogy of Horou and her relationship to all the previous bosses, as well as her desires to escape Gensokyo and be with her family once again, gaining courage to go against the protagonist. A rather shonen anime-like analogy, and probably my own headcanon kicking in, but I grew to really love Ibis Trismegistus because of it. Anyway, I never knew you could utilize the blue spellcard's powers that way with Fairy Mummy, it's the one I had trouble with the most because it's 50/50 whether I can back out pass the fairy line or hit against one or their bullets. Gonna try that freezing strategy too next time. Marisa's ending always rubbed me the wrong way, especially for Shiran herself, but your discussion made me realize that she does have a point, and like Bee said, a crook can be right twice a day. Also Tenmu peeking in from the bushes xD I never knew about why the Extra boss was so depressed, I just thought she was depressed because of what Set did to her, and Horou and the others tried to cheer her up by leading the protagonist in for a rousing fight. Never knew there was a deeper reason to that
The lazy way to get by her blue spell is by using Kaguya. Her shotgun damage is so absurd that the spellcard ends long before you have to pass any fairy danmaku walls (or bother to freeze them).

Some people really don't like Horou compared to Set but I pretty much disagree entirely. Set is cool but I also don't think Set necessarily feels like a proper final boss. Maybe they could have if tweaked a bit but I think Horou does the job well and has some rockin' patterns. Also the fact that this stage has multiple paths is really cool. Feels like you're actually going through the pyramid and taking different turns.

Also that little dialogue before getting outside the pyramid is with Genjii if you're playing as Reimu, Remilia if playing as Sakuya, and Eirin if playing as Kaguya. Although it's implied that Eirin actually came to help (complete with Kaguya's last line in stage 5's post-fight dialogue being "HELP ME, EIRIN!") while the other three were just... hallucinating, so to say. I don't know. Also, not surprised that Horou lagged quite a fair bit. Same thing happened with me with Book of Star Mythology, that game was fine for the most part, with exceptions being Mokou's spell and Nezu's Marisa copy spell, but then Fuma was a lagfest. A shame that you generally tend to do things with no-bombs, since this game's system kinda expects you to bomb at proper times to collect a sizable amount of points, and gives you resources that way. ... I love the fade-out scene. It's lovely every time a fangame has Mima pushing Marisa on when she's slipping off. ... Sure, go see Yukari. I can see how that conversation would go. Horou: "I am here to-" *TRAIN'd* ... God, I _love_ the final boss' song. And it ain't even my favorite theme- that comes next! ... Man, those wings are trippy. ... No opening comment here, let's just get right to the stage. I love this stage so much, it's easily my favourite in the game with how insanely dynamic it is. Flying out of a collapsing building makes for such a unique and fantastic vibe that I don't think has ever been done before, and the music (while I'm not a fan of the song itself... seriously Wanwan, are those electric guitar soundfonts trying to kill me?) certainly helps to amplify that experience. Also the split routes thing, that's absolutely amazing (and fun fact, if you go right in 6-2A or left in 6-2B, you get to 6-3C, which uses the same rubble enemies with aimed shots you see in 6-4). As for Horou? Well, first of all she's adorable, second of all... I actually do like her fight, she's definitely my second favourite boss in the game (my favourite being obvious by now... but still not for another week). I actually like her theme unlike most of the other bosses, her attacks in general are well-designed and clever, and the way she changes your gem is amazing too - especially since all of her spells are designed around their respective gems (you saw the freezing on the blue spell, but also consider the red spell leading around the field, the purple spell having a lot of overwhelming so you need more room to escape, and the orange spell with its tightly-packed bullets). Definitely the highlight of the main game for me. Also it sucks that Over the Rainbow isn't available in the main game, I love that spell so much. Kaisendo keeps surprising me. I think Horou's fine with gem-based patterns, but the final stage overshadows her for me. I wish more STGs tried multiple path design like this where player can learn their favorite path. There are some modern games that try that (BPoHC, but RNG kind doesn't allow learning it) and some of the ones of old. Even if you're just interested in Shmups I feel like there's a lot to learn regarding game design just from their games alone and I always appreciate that. Someone in the comments did mention that already, but there's also a third (C) Route as well.
For a fangame, it really is well made. I didn't know about the fork and the possibility for you to take the right or left path. The developer(s) sure is(are) amazing! Well done, man, you fought well! By the way, Megaman, is Book of Star Mythology good? I'd like to try it.
BoSM is _really_ good and honestly, before this it was my favorite fangame. I definitely recommend you give it a shot, and for a fangame, the Normal mode and Extra really aren't that difficult, so if you're still getting into Touhou, you would be able to tackle it.

Absolute agree here, Book of Star Mythology is beyond fantastic. It's insanely fun especially with the shotgunning mechanic, the music's fantastic, and as Omega said it's not a hard game (on top of that it has an infinite lives mode).

Especially this fight only uses less than half the screen for moving, most the time you are just sitting at the bottom. WAIT IS THERE A HANIWA IN THE FIRST ENDINGSCREEN?!? BIG BONUS POINTS! So in the end, this whole plot is based on a baby bird, who wants so bad to go outside? A land full of gods and stuff and they are powerless against some random egoistic chicken.

Absolute agree here, Book of Star Mythology is beyond fantastic. It's insanely fun especially with the shotgunning mechanic, the music's fantastic, and as Omega said it's not a hard game (on top of that it has an infinite lives mode).

Hmm the stagesong sounds not so fitting, at least it does not give me the feeling of being inside a pyramide.
Especially this fight only uses less than half the screen for moving, most the time you are just sitting at the bottom.
