To anyone who goes to the Old Absinthe House: don't let the bartenders talk you into letting them set your absinthe on fire. This effectively ruins your very expensive drink.
Only if u are young and very drunk it’s the only good thing but I don’t like the liquorice taste either
@@Omnihilo I'm guessing cuz the alcohol goes poof, but I'm not sure. I don't drink.
Truly appreciate your style of shooting. Even though you can easily show off your looks like dozens of other content creators, you keep it strictly about the food, place and people. Sometimes, we get a quick glance or two of you but I swear, I get tired of seeing people incorporate themselves in unnecessary ways. Keep it up!
Yay!! You went to Loretta's!! I prefer them anyway over Cafe DuMonde. The pecan beignets are absolutely ridiculous at Loretta's! I go to New Orleans often and the food never disappoints! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself!
As a native New Orleanian you are one of the only youtubers to did New Orleans the right way! I worked in the French Quarter for many years and you went to the "right" places. I would've also went to a few other French Quater staples but great job! 👍🏾 👏🏾 #LoveFromNewOrleans ❤️⚜️
One of my goals in 2023 is to do a solo trip. For me, as a woman it feels really intimidating but seeing videos like this put me at ease. Loved all the food & great video Lisa 😍
We all know she's not traveling alone but I completely understand. I definitely want to take a solo trip soon.
I absolutely love solo trips, but situational awareness is key! It was intimidating at first but definitely gets easier
@@veronicafoxx27 sometimes I meet up with other foodie friends in other cities but this one was a solo trip!
If you mean to New Orleans, absolutely do not go alone, each year it has more stupid people who can't understand consequences and so much violence. i live in Louisiana and have only been to NO once and that's fine with me bc they got some weird ass people
I'm so glad you got to come here! Please come back again! You did such a beautiful job capturing the city in a non sloppy way! 💜
I really appreciate the time you took to make this video for us
Your videos keep getting better and better!!!
I ❤ your travel eating videos Lisa! I remember when I went to NOLA, great place to eat and drink, great jazz and music, but I could never live there lol. Stay safe Lisa, seriously. Love you so much. God bless you.
Glad you enjoyed New Orleans!
❤this looked so fun and DELICIOUS 🫶♥️ thank you for sharing Lisa!! Xoxo

im glad you enjoyed all our food! that's one thing about new orleans
Loretta’s is so slept on. Especially the praline filled beignets. Heaven 🙌🏽
I wish I noticed this on their menu cuz I definitely would have gotten it 😂
I love New Orleans been many times. You hit all the best places and got the best stuff.
omg you visit my home town💕💕i hope you had a wonderful trip ☺️☺️
Uuuuuhhh, I miss New Orleans so much. Can't wait to visit again!
Not that you never have packed a lot of good eating into one day, but this almost seems like the most I’ve watched you eat or get food in a video in quite some time… New Orleans is still on my bucket list of places I’ve never been to, but need to get to before I ever leave this mortal coil
Love the video!
Ever since watching Princess and The Frog a thing on my bucket list has been to go to New Orleans and get a Beignets
I was just in New Orleans in November! My favorite place for poboys is Mothers … soo good 😊
I am so happy you came and visited our City. We can always tell when someone is not from here by how they pronounce words unique to the City...because we pronounce "New Orleans" differently as well. 😂
True. And I rarely hear anyone say "moo-fuh-LEH-tuh". Most people say "muh-fuh-LAH-tuh".
Port of Call is also a really great burger place. It’s a hole in the wall but I think it’s amazing.
HII LISA! i was wondering, if you ever go to Vermont, maybe you could stop at McGillicuddy's Irish pub in Waterbury? they make THE BEST chili ive ever had, and all of their food is absolutely amazing! you should give it a try, i think youll love it! 😋
omg i literally just got back home from new orleans!!! was there from tuesday to saturday :OOO
PERFECT TIMING. I head for NOLA in a few days 😊
I don't know why I keep watching these videos in the middle of the night when I know I'll feel hungry 🥲
Looks like an amazing experience
wish i could’ve seen ya!! much love 💚🌱🦋✨
I’m dying to go to go. Looks so good 😊
Went to New Orleans a few years ago loved it!
You travel like I do! Good researching!
This city is one of the places in the US I would really love to visit!
The place looks so good! Also, do you have a set plan for the day when you go out looking for places to eat? 😊
Nice sharing stay blessed and happy 👍🇦🇪
Omg dude I was there wth, I wonder if we went past each other!! And yea, the damn cafe du monde by the river walk are always pretty pack in the morning, but there’s so many other cafe du monde location.
hey you should try this recipe
egg, sugar, milk, mix it and then put it in a pan and turn on the stove and mix it until it's solid, put it in a bread and put strawberries and chocolate on it and yumm!!!
Welcome to my home town!
Wish I would’ve known you were in NOLA, would’ve zipped from Baton Rouge to hang out 😅 hope you enjoyed!!
For day 24 of your instant ramen video you should make meatballs with a ramen coating! Keep up the great work
This looks like such a great experience! I hope I get to visit New Orleans one day, I would love to try a lot of different spots there. 😋
Mann I wish I knew you were here I had a ton of recommendations
Miss Nguyen, you clearly love food as I do. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 !!
Lucky Dog Hot Dogs Stand!! a New Orleans original, read "Confederacy of Dunces"
Hi Lisa, you should've tried some yakimein while you were here. You would have loved it
Delicious just yummy!
You should tried the food in this gas station that has a little kitchen/restaurant in there it's called "Discount n Out" but it's in the 9th ward and you were in the French quarter so,..
my favorite city
I need to go here
You should come to Yorkshire in England
As the king of New Orleans cuisine, I can’t wait to review this on my podcast
Nice A Heart Lisa ❤️
Hey Lisa! I'm eating dumplings. What about a week dumpling challenge?
If you ever go again try a place called clover grill 🤤🤤🤤
Okay when you said French quarter I immediately thought of the originals and even recognized some of the buildings
Fact! I live in New Orleans😊
Hey, Lisa. Have you tried Trinidadian food? It's bomb AF. 💣🥳
There’s a cafe du monde on Williams Blvd which is the road the airport is on. I like the frozen cafe at lait.
Those are all really great places to eat.
NEVER eat a Luck Dog. They are in fact, NOT lucky.
I love new
Orleans because of the movie the originals
Lisa u should try Pakistani food😊
And this looks delicious
lisaaaa :)
Night of 1000 Kermits will live forever!
Yummyy
Damn that looks so good. 😂
Man, was I the only one who got reminded of The Originals after watching this?! 😭
Klllaaauussss 🤌✨
It's excitin that yhu came to my city ik it was stink😭😂😂

I forgot I live there so I was like : hm I’ve seen that airport before
It’s pronounced “praw-leens”! I got a lesson when I was down there this morning and was reprimanded for calling it a “pray-leen” 🤣
Well that’s how it’s pronounced there I guess 😂 I’ve definitely heard “pray-lean” in the northeast.
@@roseanna1652 exactly! But she was in NOLA so that’s why I shared the fact :)
central market tis closed and i Just came back from New Orleans, I dont know how you got muffaletta
Does anyone get reminded of the vampire diaries when she mentions bourbon street??
You missed crawfish Monica
Make sure you meet marcel gerard😂
I wish I got to enjoy the place when I went. Was there for other reasons. -__-
Loretta’s is the best
Be careful by yourself at night girl. Carry pepper spray. Like really powerful pepper spray. Lul bless stay safe.
How do you make it
You missed out on a lot of local foods come back soon for a few days!!!!
Don't go to Erin Rose, people get roofied there A LOT.
the cafe du monde line doesn’t exist! you can just walk in and sit! it s a tourist trap
Wooow you're actually here..lol
Did you see the house of the rising sun?
Stay off side streets ! Be vigilant!
MR BEAST
Who else thought she said Mr.Beast’s bistro 😂
Lisa your voice sounds normal to me.
Are you in new Orleans to watch miss universe ?
That muffaletta is so tiny, Central might have started it but they are by no means the best muffaletta, there are muffalettas out there with four times that amount of meat and olive spread, I'm from the West Bank of New Orleans... Also you went to all the touristy places and none of the actual good ones
Got recos then? I’m going in a few days and am currently prepping my list of places to visit.
@@roseanna1652 depends on where you're going, and how far you want to travel coming to Orleans is a fairly large place but in terms of driving you can get anywhere you want in like 20 or 30 minutes tops, if you're going to be in Nola proper there's a different place to recommend than if you're on the outskirts
@@roseanna1652 if you're close to the West Bank, in Terrytown there's a place called dimartino's on carol sue ave, in Nola there's parran's poboy, not sure the address (I don't live in New Orleans anymore so it's been a while) or Nola poboys, you can google any of them for directions, also ask a local about where they eat, they'll know all the best in the general area where you are
@@emilymulcahy We’ll be in the French quarter but don’t mind traveling out to see/try things! We just like to stay in central/busy areas for things to do directly outside of the hotel 😊
thanks I’ll check some of those out and def ask the locals!
@@roseanna1652 you'll love it, I am completely sure of that, good luck and enjoy the city
Wait when tf did you come down here?
Hot dogs with raw onions...
I thought u said mr. beast😂
First
Any places I should have visited?
The mikaelson mansion😂
The Originals fan here😄
Neyows!! ❤️
Brennan's is a must, Oysters, Gumbo, original Banana Foster.
Hi Lisa! There’s a ton of amazing Vietnamese-Cajun fusion but you have to go a bit out of the French quarter to find it. Enjoy Nola!!
