I had the finance guy tell me 6 year 100k warranty was in with the purchase of the car for free , luckily I went through paperwork before signing and of course he lied about it and told him to take the 3,500 off warranty off the car purchase, so yes read through everything before signing on the dotted line, protect yourself ,they will do anything to get extra $$ out of you!!
You should publish the name of the dealer. Any dealer who allows its F&I managers to play such games should be revealed to the public.
Happened to me but I sign for $928 road hazard I didn’t notice it he lied! But I cancel the next day I hope the dealership didn’t lie about that… he sent a email showing “proof” so I hope if he did lie I’m able to sue I got lawyer money ready

I was going to add, you also need to make sure any gap insurance is cancelled if you refinance a vehicle or sell it. We had gap on a vehicle that was through the dealership, not the finance company, and when we refinanced it with my credit union a year later, I had to write the dealer to cancel it. Once they confirmed the payoff they sent me a check for the balance a few weeks later.
I had gap insurance on my wife’s Expedition because we put zero down on it. With these insane used car prices it was no longer needed so I cancelled it through the dealer. It took several weeks to get the money taken off the loan but it wasn’t too hard.
We ended up selling the Expedition a few weeks later for almost what we paid for it. We got a $9,000 equity check after only 1.5 years and switched to a lease that comes with GAP insurance. April and May of this year were some of the best months ever to swap cars for new ones with a lease. Worked out great for us with the Expedition and also a Kia Stinger.

Idk why so many dealers are resorting to scamming their costumers, where's the logic in that? Nissan lost a loyal costumer. I have a question. Once I cancel the dealer extended warranty, can I opt for the YAA extended warranty? I bought a used certified used car recently and it still has two months on it bumper to bumper warranty.
What if I got road hazard product and as soon as I got out the dealership with the car the tire goes completely bad and needs a new one so I use that warranty and get new tire but then I find out the dealership did something sleazy and I want to cancel it and get my own from somewhere else. Can I still cancel even though I used the warranty for a new tire? And if so, does is change anything when I do go to cancel? Thank you!!

If I’m planning on refinancing my car with a new lender, do I need to cancel the extended warranty together with other extra services that were added to my loan before financing with a new lender or it doesn’t matter and I can still do it after I’m done with the refinancing process ?

Bought a new Van, finance office kind of tricked me for a $1600 Maintenance plan, basically oil, filter changes, which I've been doing by myself whole my life. My question: Can I go back and cancel it after few days? Can I do that , what to expect? Thank you.
Another situation I am currently in, is when the vehicle is totaled in a hit & run, and the ACV was paid off, gap finally paid but only 1/2 and you realize the warranty is still on and wasn't canceled right after the accident when the dealership was notified. So I am up here at my dealership to get it canceled for sure. Hopefully it's not a headache.

I just noticed they snuck a “service contract” in the truck I just traded in. I feel so stupid for not noticing it, but also remember the guy say they were throwing it in… yeah, for $3,500 🤬 I’m going to try this and see if I can get some money back. Sure enough, even though the F&I Manager assured me it was in process, the accounting person confirmed it was not! I can’t believe the F&I guy flat out lied. If you sell or trade in your vehicle, can you cancel an extended warranty after you’ve already used it?
I used my extended warranty on my prior car a few times but that was within the past 2 years but luckily it was 84 months for 2k. Just got a Ford and it’s only good for 35 months for 3k… ha yeah no. Definitely paying it off within 3 years and then tossing it. It was a bad deal and it’s known to have transmission issues but I wanna get rid of that before I get caught up on it

Our local GM dealer is adding $10,000 to the MSRP of some Yukons.
Can't blame the dealer if people are sufficiently dumb to pay $10,000 over MSRP.
@@jerrylundegaard2592 There are some dealers selling at or slightly below MSRP if you are willing to wait. One oil spike and some of these large SUV and Pickup owners will be in financial trouble. I’d say at least half of the owners do not have the net worth and income to own these vehicles. I don’t feel sorry for them in the least as they are faced with high gas prices.
@@user-tb7rn1il3q Yes, I have received quotes from BMW and Audi dealers for less than MSRP. But waiting is still, more likely than not, a wise decision.
I went to (campus Ford) and they sold me a $2600 warranty for my car and I wish I never even signed because it’s gonna take 40 to 60 days to get that process even started he said. And that capital one who I financed with would have to reimburse me the check once they sent it to them off of the principal, they try to make things so confusing and backwards. He also gave me the cold shoulder and was really rude. Makes me want to think about reporting them to the Better Business Bureau if they don’t give me a full refund they are so shady.

Does this only apply to extended warranties, or can you also cancel other products, such as the dent and ding warranty? I paid $2,500 for the 3/yr 36K mile warranty and an additional $500 for the dent and ding. Can I just cancel the dent and ding?

So they emailed me both of the cancelation formed and MPP person said that it will go tonthe lienholder of Toyota ........

DO NOT BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY…. EVER!
You’ll never use it. Whatever car you buy won’t ever have problems until long after the warranty expires. Really. My last 3 cars were used ai bought them… and all 3 times this was the case. Just buy the car and nothing else. They’re a waste of money.

I bought new vehicle and paid for an extended warranty. I realized the next day that my auto insurance has mechanical breakdown coverage for only a few dollars extra a month which is way cheaper than the extended warranty purchased at the dealership. I want to cancel my warranty with the dealership. It's within the 30 days for full refund. How difficult is this going to be? I do not have time to be going back and forth and to the dealership and accounting department to make sure this gets completed. Is this the only way?
Insurance warranty is limited and does not cover you the way a dealership warranty would also they use small companies who usually go out of business during ownership and you’ll be out the money you spent
Wanted to add my experience in mid 2020 that piggy backs on the idea of canceling an extended warranty with a loan. We flat canceled an extended warranty immediately after getting a quote for the same warranty from another dealer that was significantly less. The extended warranty was tied to a lease and the refund was held as a security deposit with funds not to be released until the obligation was fulfilled with the lease and with no recalculation of the monthly lease payment amount. Wasn't happy that I would essentially be paying "interest" on money that is being held hostage for years. In the end we felt out best coarse of action was to immediately buy out the lease which given today's market worked in our favor. Anyways one more thing to watch out for if you're looking at possibly doing an extended warranty with a lease.

The factory warranty should have covered the car while it was leased since most leases are for 3 years ???
@@Tundra-pw2cu Good question Tundra 1050 and you are absolutely correct for most lease customers. (You are also correct we got talked into something we decided we didn't want/need as we didn't end up purchasing the extended warranty from the other dealer) We were not your typical lease customer as we had no intention on turning the car back in at the end of the lease term. Signing up for the lease was just a way to get the insane $8000 manufacturer to dealer incentive that would not have been on the table for negotiations if we had just paid cash for the car. We planned all along to pay off the lease after 3 months to help the dealer not lose the incentive.
So if I buy a used newer car and then an extended warranty thru YAA, when and where should I get an inspection at? If there are defects found what happens next? Does the seller pay or my extended warranty? Or do I find the car, borrow the car and take it over to garage for a 3rd party inspection?
@Crooked Dealer you could call Lemonsquad or visit their website. They go to where you want for inspection. Always a good idea to get a PPI done on a used vehicle before you buy anyway. If issues are found, they get noted on the inspection. You could try & negotiate to have them fixed before you buy. Pre existing conditions are not covered on VSC's.
I unfortunately was FORCED to buy the 100,000 warranty. I paid the car off early and was told I was owed $1,300. I never got the check and the pukes cashed my check! So now I'm waiting for the next check. Unbelievable. I bet this fight isn't over.

you can't record conversations without the other party knowing they are being recorded. your evidence won't hold up in court of law. but u can sure drag their reputation through dirt all over the internet.

I don't know why you would want to cancel an extended warranty as most are extra cost whether through the dealer or a third party plan but then again I wouldn't pay for extended warranty anyways if you think you will need a warranty I'd look at another brand
