- The University of Exeter Chapel Choir present God so loved the world from Stainer's The Crucifixion. The choir will be giving a liturgical performance of the work on Good Friday in Exeter Cathedral 2016.

A wonderful rendition. I first heard it as a young treble of 10 and I'm now 85. Timeless!
The Crucifixion is one of my favorite works and this is my favorite part of it. It is wonderful to see a group of young adults singing this with such feeling. It reassures me that there is still hope for this world. God Bless you all!

Gripping. I used to sing this as a soprano. Multi-camera dimensions enhance the video greatly. Casual dress of students improves the realism of the entire work.
John 3:16 "For god so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son..." I dont remember the rest, but it was hammered into my head at Sunday school as a kid

Yes, you are right God does not hate the world; He does not hate: He is above that.
I do not hate the world either. However, I do know that everything in this world that is not of the Earth but of the inhuman will disappear. As it is said: no stone of the Earth shall be owned by one man; the Earth and the fullness thereof is God's and HIM alone.
Yes, it has been written that "he gave his only begotten son to die for all of our sins". "Jesus" did not die for our sins; he died for the sin of private property, and that is something we will have to work on.

The AUTHOR of absolute and everlasting LOVE cannot be a source of hate! Love has no negative opposite!
Because God is holy, that is, he personally does not tolerate sin, evil, stealing, murder, etc., he had set up a system where the blood of an unblemished lamb was to be shed on the altar in the Holy of Holies in Jerusalem as a mechanism for atonement for sin. However, this was just a physical action, this did not involve people’s change in their hearts. As such, God sent his sinless unblemished Son, to be born, to communicate God’s love more fully to people, to die in our place for full atonement for sin, and to rise from the dead, to be victorious over the penalty for sin, that if we trust His Son with our life, we will not perish, but have Everlasting Life with Him and His Son and the Holy Spirit.
