Ashford Stitt Interesting. Why did you guys want to get it stuck? Usually popping up the air pressure will do the job. Sand is quirky stuff though. You never know where the line between weight, tire pressure and tire size will make it difficult to get stuck or make it easy to get stuck.

I just hit the beach last weekend when it was stormy here in SW Washington. 60 psi in the rear and 55psi in the front. :) it was stormy and raining. Sand was wet and hard. Only had to put it in 4x4 mode for a brief time when teh sand got soft. Mostly it was so hard there was even a ricer parked on the beach. Mind you that sand is so soft and deep in the summer. In summer I would be airing down to 15 psi or so. Vehicle weighs 8,000lbs.
mate what a great sounding Truck. i got the dual cab version with a 3" Xforce stainless system with High Flow cats. Please tell me how you get that Great induction sound off-Throttle ? i Have a K&N filter, Blocked EGR, Sealed Snorkel and a straigh through exhaust and still cant make it happen.
Hi Mr owner of the Toyota Landcruiser VeeDeeJay79AHh, please try dropping about 5 - 9 air pressures to have the optimal platform for the car to manoeuvre through the sand dunes.
We did it on purpose to show you how far you can take a LandCruiser to getting stuck and using 3rd gear high range to rip itself out. The BF Goodrich tyres were down to 16 lb in that video when you watch a climb out on top of the sand dune you can see the sand hardens up and it just pops out it was in what we call a sand blow the sand is very soft was even hard to walk in in your thongs
i feel so petty cos our town was some day(30 years ago ) full of sand dunes and nice look exactly like this but now its all ugly conrcreete blocks i miss that old view

First of all, lower the psi, second, maybe put it into 4wd instead of 2wd, third, maybe use diff lock.
It was done on purpose to see how far you go for it to get itself out
