      Why are they risking their lifes? You say it like flying would be dangerous in general, which is not the case. Flying is the safest way to travel according to statistics...

    I usually get so happy when it rains in Dubai, but that April 16 rain, I was disappointed and frustrated that it is too much !

      During takeoff the plane is at full thrust but putting full thrust for a long time will cause fatigue to the engines. So once the plane is in the air the pilot brings the throttle back

      They get cleared to hold a specific altitude after takeoff and it may be only 5,000 or 8,000 feet initially and waypoints have speed restrictions.

      There is takeoff power climb power and cruise power. Different amounts of thrust for different conditions

    Ridiculously slow! Its like watching grass grow! We've been in the commercial "Jet" age for over 65 years! The previous 65years we were riding horse's! Why can't we technologically develop as fast as the first 65 years. Its pathetic!
