Following his engagement in Laguna, President Joko Widodo of Indonesia conducts another site visit at W Hydrocolloids, Inc. - Carmona Plant in Cavite on January 10, 2024.
During the tour and inspection, President Widodo conveys that Indonesia has the potential to develop a seaweed processing industry, mentioning that their country is supported by a vast coastline like the Philippines.
The Indonesian President looks forward to an increase in his country’s seaweed processing that would eventually allow its production to be exported to several countries such as the Philippines, with the aim of uplifting the livelihood of seaweed farmers by adding value to their products.
Established in 2004, W Hydrocolloids, Inc. (WHI) is a cornerstone in aquacultural innovation that is committed to its people, society, customers and the environment.
