As someone who suffered from insomnia and also don't like to take pills due to addiction running on my family, I can totally relate, when I adopted a cat and she began sleeping whit me, suddenly the problem dissapeared, seems it was entirely psychological and the reassurance to have someone waiting for you to sleep together really helps
Truth! My emotional support cat has not only saved my life, but saved my sleep too! There’s something so soothing about cats.
My dogs knock me out cold whenever they lay down with me. There’s supposedly some ancient basis to us sleeping with pets as a form of “security” since at least dogs (I know almost nothing about cats) sleep much lighter than we do so they would be able to detect a threat and wake us up.
That was my life when I had a hard time to sleep, I just watch lectures and commentary videos lol
