Hello JR. I've been following your uploads ever since I accidentally bumped into one only less than a year ago. And so far, I am finding the way you impart the fundamentals, way up to the scientific complexities of bowling (and what may seem to many as simple as learning to ride a bike) very easy to ingest, digest, understand and remember. I had been on and off with the game since the mid sixties (7 or 8 years old) up to the present. Started with duckpins, eventually to tenpins. I have seen for myself the developments and changes from equipments, to the actual science of the modern day swing and release over the years. From shellac coated pine-maple wooden lanes with exposed ball return tracks, to synthetics. From hard rubber balls (my first ball was a 9-pounder Manhattan Rubber) to urethanes and reactives. From two hole drilled balls (thumb and middle finger) to the present 3-holes. The methods by which you chose to apply and demonstrate the lessons and techniques to be in concert with the changes are excellent. A job very well done.

I was at work one day listening to Pandora and a Bloodhound Gang song came on. A coworker came over and asked if it was Die Antwoord. I honestly had never heard of them before but the coworker talked about them a little and said I should check them out. I got back to work and that was the end of it. I NEVER googled them, or CZcams'd them or anything. Later I got home and pulled up CZcams and there were not 1, not 2, but 3 Die Antwoord videos in my recommended list. It was creepy to say the least.

I bowled competitively as a kid. Started in leagues when I was 8 or 9. I got sponsored by a bowling alley to be on their travel team. I’ve won NY state and regional championships, both individually and as a team.
After you learn how to curve the ball, it’s impossible to throw it straight. I’ve tried, but I actually don’t even know how to release the ball anymore without some kind of spin.
I was taught to release the ball like you’re “shaking the hand of the pins”.

Once I started delivering the ball with my finger holes being in the 9 and 3 o’clock position (and saluting on the follow-through), my game improved dramatically! The two-finger offset differential produced the spin, along with proper arrow alignment resulting in pin 1-3 sweeping!

I bowl 2 finger and currently my biggest inconsistency is releasing the ball in the center lane so when it catches, it's curving from mid to left as opposed to right to mid. When I release it though 8/10 times I can tell the second it hits the lane if it's gonna strike or get the 2-5-7pins lol. Looking forward to watching all your videos

I have a plastic ball and threw a curve from the second board but now the curve is gone. The local pro said the lanes have changed from wood to a composite which is why my curve is gone and I will need to upgrade my ball. I also see that few pros are throwing a curve but throwing a hook. I'm hoping you have some lessons on throwing a hook. I live in California so I cant go to a bowling alley...only video bowling :( !

Now, i just throw the ball straight trying to find my mark between the lead pin on either side using a T zone which I’m pretty successful in making my strikes and hitting my spares. You don't have to throw a hook ball to be an over 200 average bowler. All that you have to do is aim it properly and throw it as hard as you can. I do this technique all of the time and it works. The pins fly all over the place when I throw the ball. This guy in the video threw the ball soft and in a way that he knew it would leave a split.

Just realize that by using a light ball, you are losing a lot of potential energy and the ball will deflect off of the pins more. Use the heaviest ball you comfortably can. You want the ball to drive through the pins.

@@Adonis_RL as of now I’m 13, there was a comment saying that I sucked. For absolutely no reason, I average 210 and my ball speed is 17mph, and my rev rate is 396. I’ve improved 😀

I just started curving the ball, I use only 2 fingers and my wrist is extremely sore, not sure if I’m over rotating my wrist or what but im definitely doing something wrong.. although I got up to a 171 which is good for me since I just started bowling

Ive been bowling for a bit now once a week for fun. Now i want to advance my skills and will be practicing this as i am, like you mentioned, a bowler who uses the thumb.
I cant wait to try it out and see if this video helps. Will try to return to this video to update lol
