Michael Hurley’s last game. He’d been out so long due to a severe hip infection which lead to hip replacement surgery. But had worked his ass off and managed to get back for 1 last game against Richmond at the end of 2022.
Despite the bombers being completely beaten and unable to send him off with a win. They did manage to get him a shot at goal in the last 2 minutes where he’d kick his last AFL goal.
And once all the Bombers boys had finished getting around him and celebrating.

The was Matthews elbow on Barry Cable in the 1971 state game. Cable was in the process of bending down to pick up the ball.
The slo mo showed Matthews eyes focused on Cable and his elbow pointing right at the cheek area. Cable propped to avoid contact and Matthews made sure the elbow hit the head.
He had taken two steps past the ball when contact was made. How the "experts" judged Matthews was the player of the century is totally beyond me.
