- In this video you will meet our German shepherd puppy. We got her from a breeder in SC. I was nervous and excited at the same time but I couldn't wait to meet my German shepherd puppy.

Don't pass up shelters in your search. There a great many in shelters that inexperienced owners couldn't care for. I have had 4 rescues in my time and wish I had more money and a bigger yard❤
I have a male raised him from 5 weeks, would like to get a female last time I tried to find one to rescue but had no luck, I would love to be a puppies hero and give her a good home, I work from home and have my boy with me contantly, they require lots of tlc, it' a commitment and I think many people do not realize how much responsibility it is, my boy is getting close to a year and a half now and everyone compliments me on how well he behaves and his recall and stuff like that, I put in the work and effort, as far as those things he destoyed when he was little, he is worth more to me than anything money can buy and steals my heart every day
I am hoping to find a female pup to rescue, my boy is over a year old now, everyone is impressed about how well he behaves, I don't think people realize how much of a commitment it is, my boy needs someone to play with, he is great with other dogs

I don't think so. She seem happy and excited to play with us and do new things together.

Man sollte sich mehr um die armen Seelen kümmern, die zuvor ein schönes Zuhause hatten und später ausgesetzt werden und nicht Züchter unterstützen.
was fuer ein unfug. if people plan on raising a GSD and doing any form of sports with them, they need to start them as puppies. rescue is one thing, competing is another thing altogether

I got a shelter dog. His was a Maltese His name was coco. Good dog. We had him eight years until he got very very sick. We had to put him down. I miss my coco. Please look at shelters to adopt. A lot of good dogs out there. He was eight when we got him. He met our requirements. Small cute and fluffy.
Evidently you guys don't believe in breeders. Not all breeders are dishonest. If you go for a better breeder, they don't breed them constantly, and they have their dogs tested for known problems. I have papillion dogs , they would not be something you find in the pound. Also in the USA, you can live in different states and meet in the middle to make it easier on both parties.

Say no to breeders
Awkward to get the puppy handed at a parking. In Europe, that would be a clear sign of an illegal breeder from east.

I agree. A well respected breeder would have wanted to meet the prospective buyer before ever agreeing to a sell them a pup. And check references. I was on a wait list for over a year before the breeder had a litter with a pup that would fit what I was looking for.
And his comment about “ thinking the pup would be too much” makes me wonder if he has any idea of the responsibilities of owning a GSD.
