Awesome job and great project for anyone, but definitely someone just learning to fabricate. Jim is very good at explaining each step
The best way to layout and build is by lining up the inside of each pc to leave room for a corner weld. That way when you grind the weld off there is still reinforcement.

Instead of putting ends flat against lengths putting them corner to corner will cut down on grinding, and it will give you rounded edges. Just a thought.
