    This is the kind of stuff I dream of doing. So cool to see the 3s getting the love it deserves with all the K and F20C RWD swaps going on.

    That attention to details again...never get tired of it.
    The custom valve covers, the setup, everything to make it look like some wild secret project done by Maserati itself in the late 80's.
    Well done! 👏🏻😎

    What a perfect thing to do to a Biturbo. They have always looked great but never ran like this one. Great job.

    I hv known Steve since 1993'ish when he had his 2toned Biturbo that had 480HP. Steve has been quite helpful with my BiT track car. Some things in vid, i did 30yrs ago.

    Well, at least this one will
    But the finishing touches like machining the top of the valve cover is perfection

    I was like 10 or 11 and a guy like no other thanks to my dad. he would take to the only 2 exotic dealers that where less than 75 miles away. American service center on glebe in VA or motorcoach in reisterstown MD for some reason there where always '85 biturbo's and then 425's I had a couple of mags where companies tuned them but you guys got the right idea. why doesn't everyone take the hunks of shit they loved in childhood and make them usable. I just saw a build a bit ago that was one of the coolest I'd ever seen a 2zje or one of the turbo 2j's but not the supra one in a xjs. he switch all the problem stuff or corrected it. jag is know for lovely electronics.... not!! I love those bi-turbo's even better shamal's or something but this the coolest way to be able to use the cool cars we love and even make them 110% better. this is a real cool build. I love the seats from those things they looked like you would just get swallowed by leather luxury. they are no Recaro CSE or nothing but I did love them. great project!!! you all never cease to amaze. cheers

      I think I remember this Jag. Saw a similar build on an R107 Mercedes-Benz SL. Pretty neat.
      But most people do these swaps don't care about the little details that these guys do.
      I also love the stock engines, like the Ferrari's and Jag's, but with the aftermarket support improving reliability.
      Fixing these engines in their weak points, be it in a mechanical, electronic or electric aspect.

      Thank you for the kind words! I'll have to look into that XJS it sounds interesting! And I definitely agree, the OEM Biturbo seats feel like sitting on a Lazy Boy at home, it's great!

      Hear me out.
      Quattroporte IV (AM337), the one that I consider the most underrated of them all.
      Powered by a Toyota 1UZ-FE. I've seen somebody do this swap on Engine Swap Depot a while ago, on a Biturbo. But they kept it N/A.
      I'd go for that engine, with two turbo's and full Otsuka Maxwell-grade cosmetic treatment a là Maserati, machined valve covers, intake, everything...
      And maybe even the engine de-stroked to 3.2L like the original.

      @gregoryfranks7347 Před 7 měsíci +1

      that would be the coolest thing ever to do with one of them. i watched rocky3 or4 1000 times to see that car. there was no internet lol. yes this project is a must 100% aces idea chap. cheers@@Roddy_Zeh

    Wow i would be as happy as the owner too, its the only perfect sounding 3s, mostly probably bc the turbos. If i were to get the same engine feel and sound i would need only those toda cams, a biturbo set up with its respective coolings parts and i have a redtop so even tho i dont plan to make any crazy power or will sit on limiter much do u think i should consider titanium valves? Thanks so much, hope u take this as a compliment, really loved how the engine performed and the smile it gave

    • @omd_sd
      @omd_sd  Před 7 měsíci

      The titanium valves won't make much difference for sound, and for a turbo setup steel valves or inconel are probably best!

  • @rocketsurgeon11

    I dig it! What resonator are you running? For the machined letters, man, I just use a sanding block and fine grit paper. I like the little bit of graining that happens when you do it that way. Sounds good, though!

    • @omd_sd
      @omd_sd  Před 7 měsíci +1

      It is a vibrant performance resonator! Sandpaper works great for that effect as well!

    Are you using the factory steering rack?

    • @omd_sd
      @omd_sd  Před 5 měsíci

      No, It was in the wrong spot relative to the new engine. We used an after market rack made for a ford Mustang 2

    • @omd_sd
      @omd_sd  Před 7 měsíci

      Stock cams, just redid the cam timing (there's a video on our channel of this) and opened the valve gap for turbo application
