This is my reaction to Snollebollekes - Links Rechts (Live op 538 Koningsdag 2019)
In this video I react to Dutch music by reacting to a performance by Snollebollekes of their song Links Rechts live at Koningsdag King's Day) in Netherlands. This song has went viral at EURO 2024 with Dutch football fans and with Dutch Formula 1 fans.

'With 'Links Rechts': When people actually go left and right, you dont HAVE to participate, but, for your own safety, its better if you do 🤣

When he says" Naar links" people must move to their left..
"Naar rechts" means move to your right.
It's a jolly song and every party is never complete without this song being played, sung and danced!🇳🇱🍊🥰😁

    Snollebollekes is all about partying.
The lyrics here are mostly about having a party, get drunk, have fun.
And I guess if he was still a Prince instead of a King, the King would join.

I'm a Western Australian, but am originally from the south of the Netherlands. I reckon the song has its roots in the festival of Carnival, which is held in the southern parts of the Netherlands. It's Carnival-music, beer-drinking music, & a good time to be had by all. My memories are strong around Carnival - I had uncles and cousins who sat on a kind of council, complete with wonderful uniforms, led by a 'Prince', which oversaw the festivities. 🍻😄

Snollebollekes is the alter ego of Rob Kemps. He's from Noord Brabant (a province in the south of the Netherlands). His songs are meant for parties big or small. He acts that he's a dumbass. In real life he's very smart. A few years ago he won the seasonsfinal of the quiz "de slimste mens" ( the smartest person).

This is the song but in English
    Sensation Waailand anthem
But just a little bit different!
    Go wild with the Snollebollekes!
    Clap those hands!
Oh, that's going to be a mess again!
    Now pay attention!
    Welcome to the marquee
    Just be nice, ma'am
It's a shame about the attic
But the roof is coming off
    Chopping, pounding, jumping
    The cabin goes crazy
    All from left to right
The tent that is being destroyed
    All from left to right
The tent that is being destroyed
    All from left to right
The tent that is being destroyed
    To the left!
    To the right!
    One more time!
    To the left!
    To the right!
    Oh, what a party!
Come on, come on, come on, come on!
    Shall we do another round?
    Pleasant!
    Keep filling the glasses
    With even more alcohol
    We can't be contained anymore
    Fill the ladies up nicely
    Sit, hang, lie down
That's not how we got married
    All from left to right
The tent, which is being renovated (What did you say?)
    All from left to right
The tent, which is being renovated (Yes!)
    All from left to right
The tent, which is being renovated
    To the left!
    Oh yes, to the right!
    Nondeju, that's going well!
    To the left!
And once more to the right!
    Yes!
    I'm going all cuckoo!
    Party!
    Sing!
Oh, that could be a little faster, couldn't it?
    Sing, jump!
    Yep, there it goes!
    Welcome to the marquee
    Just be nice, ma'am
It's a shame about the attic
But the roof is coming off
    Chopping, pounding, jumping
    The cabin goes crazy (Yes!)
    All from left to right
The tent that is being crushed (Yoohoo!)
    Keep filling the glasses
    With even more alcohol
    We can't be contained anymore
    Fill the ladies up nicely
    Sit, hang, lie down
That's not how we got married (Yes!)
    All from left to right
The tent, which is being renovated (Yoohoo!)
Does there have a defibrillator here, or no one?
    God, nondeju!

    Snow Bullocks, lol.
The word Snollebollekes is derived from the word 'snol', which is a derogatory term for a promiscuous woman, but by adding 'bollekes' which basically means 'little heads' it's less harsh, and a little cute. It's not really suiting for the act, as the word refers to multiple women, and the act is a single man. It's named after their first song, which was also named Snollebollekes.
But on the other hand it really suits the act, because their texts are often on the edge of what is acceptable, but always in such a way that it is still fun. I mean, the song 'Links, Rechts' really is about taking the whole place down, literally. And 'Springen Nondeju' means 'Jump Goddammit'. The texts often are not very female friendly either. But all these things are done in such a way that nobody takes offence. Probably because the singer is always acting like a fool (in real life he is not though) so nbody takes it seriously. But I think these edgy texts make the songs even more popular. People like to shout things that they really can never say in daily life. They feel like they can really let themselves go.
    Los met de Snollebollekes!

The artist Snollebollekes is a Carnaval-singer (huge dress up party event in the southern provinces just before fasting period, lots of alcohol involved)
Lamme Frans and Vieze Jack are also Carnaval-singers who know how to work crowds (often with songs with extra doses of humor and sometimes a bit... naughty)
PS: Snollebollekes also made an X-mas song called 'Beuk de ballen uit de boom' roughly translates to 'Knock the balls out of the tree'

On a YT channel called subcultras there's a version of this song with English translations. There's probably one sentence that needs some explanation: zo zijn we niet getrouwd (that's not how we are married) which is an expression with a mild admonishing connotation: that's not how we do things.

The song is a famous Dutch Party Song in our own language: "Snollebollekes (Mr. Rob Kemps) - Links Rechts": I give you the link with English subtitles: czcams.com/video/R8yCe0CDgV4/video.html The Germans liked the song so much, that The Snollebollekes are making also a German variant soon. If so many grazy partying Dutchies are jumping Left to Right, it's almost like a little earthquake! Amazing, we are such a little country with 18 milj. people, but almost everyone is suporting the Orange team, with man en female football, hockey and the Formula One with Max Verstappen. Yes, we are party animals and love to party with people from other countries. Thanks for al those nice comments, we l❤❤ ve it so much!!! BTW, This is Kingsday in the Netherlands.
