Inky Winky That’s what I love about his paintings. He paints with story. No words, just how the painting was portrayed. It’s amazing because it can be very hard to tell a story in just one painting.

As soon as I realized what was happening in the scene, I literally thought "Oh..... oh no... =(" this is a beautiful piece, yet so sad. Probably my favorite of yours
SAME! at first I was just like, "its some beautiful woman visiting a cemetery. actually it looks like it was a battlefield. Did she loose a loved one in the battle? This is getting sadder the more I look at it. (These next thoughts all happened at once) Wait, she has some really fancy clothes and some kinda crown like thing. I think she's royalty. Elven Queen? wait... OMG the PUDDLES!!! AHHHH crushing sadness! That just gives it so much more feeling. A ruler being burdened with all the deaths of her loyal soldiers who have all died in battle for her own goals or her own mistakes. It's also possible that what is in the puddles is real and she is thinking to what lies ahead.

@@radeemer1 according to the Comic that WLOP made( the artist who also made this scene of this battlefield here ), she is an angel( that is what most readers think ). She was born in ice. So she was called the Ice princess in this comic. The comic is called Ghostblade. You can read it on Webtoon or Tapas. Amazing story and art. If you read his comic, you will understand most videos of WLOP on youtube. You will know the background story behind his art.

ive seen my fair share of my art and i think *wlop is one of the greatest artists of all time.* especially when it comes to quality and realism, and how well he blends that with powerful, medieval fantasy scenery.
just scrolling through his portfolio shows how iconic his works are on the internet.
the disabled girl staring up at the plane, the knight shielding the princess from the angry crowd, and the white, fragile, crow princess. absolutely a legend in art's history.
and love his anime side and ecchi elements too.
WLOP seriously, the colours, the environment, the music... I wanna cry with this video and i don't know if other people can feel more than entertainment with a story like yours but just now i don't need read a text to understand the feelings in the scene.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces I've seen.
I saw this once, and on first glance, I didn't notice the raw emotion put into it. The reflection of past in the water is something unique that I've not seen before, and I admire your touch in all of your paintings. You're the biggest inspiration to me as a new digital artist transitioning from traditional. Your work is always phenomenal.
When I saw the helmet at first I thought it was Kain and I literally cried out loud, but later seeing you pasting so many soldiers with the same helmet relieved me a little

This sat in my To Watch list for forever. I scrolled past this so many times, thinking if I should watch it now or wait to be more in the mood (always knew this would give some heartache), and I never even noticed the reflection of the past in the puddle until the little preview at the start of the Video!!!

The 3d tool in Photoshop is not so handy compared with other professional 3d software, but still worth trying

I’ve tried to use photoshop but it has so many tools and I’ve never gotten to learning how to use them ;-; I’ve only used fire alpaca(some cheap free software that definitely couldn’t pull this kind of art out)
@WLOP So far the best software I've used for such a task was the Foundry Nuke. Unfortunately it's quite expensive >.
@xXPabuStarXx I understand that feeling very well. When I first started the only tools I knew were Brush, Mixer Brush, and Eraser XD Eventually I came to know the Lasso Tool, Magic Wand, Pen, etc. and learned how the Layer Modes functioned. Mostly from learning from other professionals here on CZcams and through Gumroad Tutorials. It takes time and practice :}
Well from the top of my head I can name pen smoothing and symmetry mode and now there's an easier way to organize your brushes into folders. Symmetry Mode and Pen Smoothing aren't really anything new since Corel Painter and other software had it first. It's just that finally Adobe are realizing that Photoshop is not just being used strictly for photography.

I love your art, and recently, I started to read your comic, Ghostblade. Which makes me wonder, you don't update often, so how long does it take for you to make a chapter? I'm not telling you to rush, I'm just curious.
I'm not a professional artist, it depends on my workload, usually couple of months to make a chapter.
It's understandable. It takes me forever just to draw one picture.

This is amazing :) back then we could only do this by exporting each layer to After Effects, but this time Photoshop is a beast that can do lots more than it used to. WLOP's video is a perfect way of highlighting this new feature! He should get featured by Adobe!
Yay! I got a glimpse into his Desktop! go to 5:51 and I saw ZBrush 4R8, its got 3dsmax functionality and its a 3d paint tool! Sketchup 2017 and Keyshot 7 for ZBrush. I'm no painter but its nice to see he plays DOTA2 lol. Nice job WLOP :) For those paying attention, his Photoshop CC crashed at 5:50.
I mod video games on my free time and I use 3dsmax and adobe premiere pro for my video edits. It's so nice to see another artist who uses all the tools available to him. You are a true inspiration WLOP, for me even though I'm not an painter I can appreciate the art you create. I'm a musician/DJ and game modder.

If it was drawn with a reference you would not see the artist constantly redrawing the poses nor background as WLOP does.
Beginners copy exactly, midlevels use references and professionals create from scratch. He's not even fully planning it, he changes it as it goes.

Wow this persons work never ceases to amaze me. The idea behind so many of the pieces, and the execution of the ideas, are so incredible. That is such an interesting idea to have the soldiers in the reflection.
Cool and depressing at the same time
It's really beautiful as usual! However, I find the sword on the cross pointing upward a visual distraction from the overall composition. It draw the viewer's eyes away from the picture. Maybe having it pointing down or stick to the ground can help grounding the visual elements?

When I saw what was in the puddles (which I didn't until the middle of the video because I'm a dumbdumb) my heart went "...ouch" and my brain went "holy crap that's clever) simultaneously. Then I spent the rest of the video trying to not explode with how much feeling this speedpaint has in it with the art, the process, the subject and the bgm. Thank you for this amazing video. Really, thank you so much.
