これは日本人として嬉しい!
now thats what i call a fever dream of a fellow train fan and collector
Kato have been turning out amazing-looking 009 locos for PECO. I liked that little slice of Devon, which is exactly where they are.
Just look at how absolutely neat, clean, and spotless is the surrounding outdoor area. That’s the way it should be.
Thank you very much, a gift to hobbyists and enthusiasts everywhere.
Your video inspires me to go buy a lottery ticket!! It is eye-popping and fun! I am heavily invested in KATO products, and their quality and design ingenuity are unsurpassed.
Wow, what an amazing tour of the Kato Hobby Center in Tokyo! 🚄🇯🇵 It looks like a paradise for model train enthusiasts with such a wide range of scales, layouts, and especially those incredible Shinkansen bullet trains. The variety of N scale and HO scale options must be quite a sight to see in person.
I'm curious, which part of the store impressed you the most? Did you find any particular train set or accessory that you would recommend? Also, how do the Unitrack systems compare in terms of ease of use and flexibility for new setups?
Thank you for taking us along on this fantastic journey through one of the premier model train stores in the world. It’s definitely on my must-visit list now! 🚂🌍
This is a next level model railroad store. Getting very rare to find these types of places in the UK.
What an exciting experience 👏🏾 you must have had!! Thanks for sharing ✊🏾✊🏾
Thank you very very much for this Video! I have never seen before so many Asian trains! So many wonderful trains!
There's my favorite U.S. Steam Locomotive Union Pacific Big Boy 4014!
WOW, there is such a variety!
awesome! wish there was a place with that much kato HO stock here in North America!
Wish you could also visit korea. Its not really a place for railfans but. Its still a beautiful country.
There is still KoRail and KTX trains over there
@@Cod3nameHurricane theyre pretty boaring not much variety lol but thats just me i practically see them every day anyway
WHAT?! No Long Island Rail Road trains?!?!?!
The Long Island Rail Road is the busiest commuter railroad in North America, carrying approximately 200,000 customers each weekday on 947 daily trains.
Wow I was they would have a store like that near me. So much wonderful stuff..thank you!
I wish so badly they made the 0 Series Shinkansen in H0 scale and DCC D:
Wow, what an amazing store
Cool! I live in Yokohama and haven't been to the Kato store yet! My wife and I went to the Omiya Train Museum last week. Incredible. BTW, I wonder if you went to the Hara ( Model Train) Museum in Yokohama. Extremely interesting!!! Mr. Hara (RIP) had been collecting trains from all around the world even before WW II. As a kid, he started making locomotives from tin cans! Thanks for the high quality shots of the Kato Store. Lastly, another train besides Shinkansen that uses the larger gauge track is KeiKyu ( pronounced " K-Q").
I'm very happy to see the Taiwan High Speed Rail 700T train. So beautiful!!!
Really cool seeing this. I was in Oarai for the actual unvealing of the new new Girls Und Panzer themed train (Kashima Rinkai Tetsudo 6006) 10:45 which was in conjunction with the release of the movie & have that n-scale model.
7:14 Ngl I would have bought a complete track set just for that brown narrow gauge engine 😅😂
I was there 4 months ago. I was like a child in a candy store
I wish Kato would make NYC Transit subway trains.
I think it would be hard to capture the garbage and graffiti at this scale
I just went there last month. It is awesome.
!!! Bravo !!!❤ Gracias por compartir tan hermoso lugar.
Yo tengo el antiguo tren bala Japonés
This has the WOW factor !
Them Kato trains is Kool !
Thanks for the video mate, I will be heading there in a few months
Pretty cool trains..
I saw at the end of the video you went to Kyoto Railway Museum! It's a great train museum. Also fun fact: there are stamps at every japan train station, so I would recommend buying a stampbook to mark those stamps down. I even stamped some in for myself as well
Well this is a location to add to my bucket list
"Which item do you want to buy?"
- "Yes."
Cool tour! I wonder of one of these sale bins contains H0 Kumoha 115 parts... and whether I can find someone crazy enough to go & fish them out for me. Also: cool to know they actually DO make these tiny kei trucks as models. Couldn't find those, now I know what to look for. Thank you.
Great. Video very clean store
I liked to visit the Tenshodo Hobby Shop in Tokyo.
I was just there 2 weeks ago as well I’m big in the states now though
Nice I’m going there in a couple days
Now that was nice I want to go there one day!!!!!!!
japanese models are so cool and neat
Wow I didn’t know they had that, will need to find that in November. I went to the JR museum in Nagoya ( video coming) but this you could buy stuff.
Im not a model train fan but they got everythingggg. Love the SouthWest/Santa Fe stuff and the Amtrak trains
Sir, are you in Japan right now or not?
The paradise ,,,,,, 🤩
It’s a dream of mine to go to japan to get some n scale stuff. Great video!!🔥
in Taiwan,we don't say SHINKENSHIAN,we say H.S.R ,HIGHT SPEED RAIL😂
Omg i must go!
That Kato store makes me jealous on so many levels, and it pulls me towards N scale but realistically I know there's no way my old man eyes will allow me to enjoy it as much, but I've falling in love with how efficient those Kato books are at storing trains. From what I recall you can run your trains if you spend as little as 500yen in their store. That said you were there for 10 days, hopefully you managed to sneak off to the Akihabara district, there definitely are a lot of train stores you can hit up (and yeah even HO scale)
Not to be rude but I was waiting to see a Japanese train model for a few months great video
I was there a few months ago, the trains at the Kato Center there are around 20% more expensive compared to Popondetta and Joshin. It is really good if you need specific parts and as someone who has been using Kato products for over a decade, it was really cool to see.
This store kinda reminds me of miniatur wunderland in hamburg, germany
🇧🇷🚂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fantastic, very very good!
Mantap sekali boss ❤❤👍👍 salam dari Indonesia
日本にようこそ〜!
Great selection of Kato!! I have some at my shop, but not like that! 💯👍✌️
Please try and slow down in your panning, give people chance to look! Thank you 👍
Wow!
When I was there, I thought those BNSF intermodal cars at 7:07
Thanks for this inspiring video as there are Japanese HST (hopefully HO scale) that I so desire. Hopefully there's a Kato website specifically for those not in Japan to be able to buy online. Thanks again, I've subscribed.
If I’m doing the calculations right. That’s not that expensive for any of the prices I saw. Yen to the dollar ? 18,500 yen is only 126 usd
Great video but one piece of advice... just slow down a little. There were so many transitions... you should just stop and record for a longer period of time so you can actually see and enjoy it.
Other than that, I cant wait to get over there. Ill be needing an additional suitcase to bring home!!
Looks beautiful
10:48 also, why they didn’t add Dragon Ball???😢
Cool
very cool! What a pilgrimage! And I mean, Japan, very big on fitting a lot of things into not much space, so N scale makes sense. Wonder if they have Z scale there?
Cool video
I'm sure glad those prices are in yen and not usd.
6:19 AYO thats craftyfoxe
Awesome video
Phenomenal place. Do they have several stores in tokyo/kyoto?
Does anyone know what brand the double height piers for the elevated track is? Kato makes the regular height piers. There are 2 types in this Video. One looks like 2 regular height piers are stacked on top of each other and the other like a 1 piece concrete pour.
If your in Shinjuku take the Odeo line from 27 (Shinjuku) to 33 E I forgot the station name but make your way to the Kato hobby centre from there
Hello CraftyFoxeMC, could you do the Elizabeth line from the London tube? Station: Canary wharf
You didn't show the Bachmann Thomas stuff. :(
You should buy platform for your passenger trains
Hi craftyfoxe when can you get a HO scale metra
10:47 girls und panzer is awesome
good
Was there any Shinkansen in H0??
14:49 I wonder what that Patlabor sign is doing there.
When I started this video. For some reason, I was waiting for him to buy all the trains.
Hope you enjoyed Japan 🇯🇵 and Learn Japanese
I don't know where this store is, but I do know I want to go there...
Good
I would really say Japan is the only one a cool model train's and fastest commuting
I have one of those as HO scale version of BN
Numbered 9580
2:48
Do they have a HO scale Shinkansen bullet trains? I am likely going to Japan next march and would love to know they they got one.
Online check.
That’s a lot of n scale and being that the most common type found is ho KATO must make a lot since not many company’s make n scale. The other main brand is Bachmann but they aren’t big into n scale
I think n is big in Japan.
@@minthouse6338 I guess that’s right and I think ho is more common in America and canada
where locate
wait is kato japanease?
Kato is a Japanese company. Their US operations are based in Illinois USA though
@@CentralJerseyRailfan k thanks!
I think there is a separate company called KATO USA. They do toolings for the American market and the model trains are made in Japan? Reason I say that is - HO scale in Japan is 1/80 and over here it's 1/87.
Those models really are great value for money, I was expecting them to be really expensive. But they aren't!
wish the camera moved a bit slower so we could see the stuff. It doesn't make for a good viewing.
Is there something special about Florida East Coast trains? Because I have a 2 F type engines, one motorized, one not. And a passenger car I think, or it might a booster engine without the cab, as well as a box car for it. Just asking, cause when you looked thru the American diesel engines you said “They even have Florida East Coast” I’m just wondering. 2:38
a bullet train is only 15 dollars? WOW
Okay, if I ever go to Japan - I HAVE to go there! And if I won Millions of dollars, I would walk out of there a Million dollars poorer. :P Amazing store which has FAR more things, American trains than we can find in the States. The prices are quite good too.
Im curious, did you learn any Japanese before doing this trip?
Think he is part Japanese, iirc he made a Shinkansen tutorial on CraftyFoxeMC where he said the intro in Japanese
Hi
visit a train store in the us
たしかご両親が日本の方でしたよね!
いいえ、彼らはアメリカ人です。
@@BNSFTrains10
In the past, he tweeted, "I'm American, but my parents are Japanese."
@@yuiyui590I did not know that...
How much to buy the whole store?
I want this
